Die Wilgers Hospital poor administration

My wife was admitted to the hospital in Pretoria end of January 2024 with a brain bleed (subdural hematoma) . All documents were filled in by my daughter and they made a copy of my Medihelp medical aid card (Same Medical aid that states they cover all in hospital costs). 18 months later i am being summonsed by a law firm to collect R42000 that I suddenly now am liable for. Why 18 months after? The main reason seems to be IN HOSPITAL ITEM CODE BILLED OUTSIDE HOSPITAL ADMISSION PERIOD and SERVICE/PROCEDURE NOT PRE-AUTHORISED MOTIVATION NEEDED. now hwo at the hospital is supposed to get authorizations (me?). Obviously a condition like this is life threatening and obviously her stay will depend on the treatment success? So now due to the poor administration I owe this money!! I go further to say on the Medical side treatment was great! Administration was extremely poor and the people handling accounts ***********
