My follow up appointment with Dr Fredericks was on 5 June 2024. They charge me R300 for a consultation fee. The amount was paid cash by myself. They also claimed R300 from my medical scheme for the same appointment. My medical scheme refused to refund me with R300 due to the fact that the Account Dept of Dr Fredericks already claim R300. I want Dr Fredericks to refund me with The R300 that I paid cash. They are not allowed to charge me R300 cash and also Claim R300 from my Medical Scheme. I will request The Presidential Hotline on 17737 for a full investigation. I will also report my complaint to HPCSA on 0809116472 And also fax my query with all the relevant documentation to HPCSA ON 0865604157.

I have an appointment with Dr ES Fredericks on 2024 06 05 for for an Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy in Greenacres Hospital PE. He's surgery are in Greenacres Hospital with a theater attached to it. The dr Consult with me in his surgery after the Above-mentioned procedures was done. I have to pay the cash amount of Three Hunderd Rand for the Consultation fee with invoice numer honderd and eighty five rand. For code R10.4 The doctor also claimed three Honderd Rand from my medical aid. Gems. With the same code R10.4. I feel that the dr charge a double consultation fee for the same appointment on the same date. It was not possible for me.to claim the three Hundred Rand from Gems because they mentioned that it is a duplicate claim due to the fact that the dr already claimed from them. Tax invoice : 0079359

Pointless making any appointment , my wife went for her appointment with an elderly lady also waiting for her appointment for the same time. Had to use her lunchtime from work but still had to wait over an hour after her appointment. when asking the receptionist why the wait she was told Dr is busy . Extremely rude staff and the Dr just laughs when advised of his staff. A day before her scheduled appointment we get a call advising we need to pay R5000 before Dr can assist , after waiting a month for the operation we get told a day before to pay up R5000 when asked how can they phone us a day before the time the lady rep**** " would you then like to reschedule"

Worst and most unprofessional service I ever received. I had an appointment for 12:45 and when I got there it was super busy. No issue. I paid and took a seat waiting my turn. On the fly I heard the reception say dr is running late, no issue, I patiently keep waiting. An hour goes by and still no help. An hour and a half later, after all the patients have been helped I ask for the first time where he is and am told he'll help me shortly. Finally he comes out and says he has another appointment. Now I'm confused as I booked an appointment with him and paid. I asked him when he will see me, while trying to explain to him what has transpired, and he shrugged his shoulders at me, very annoyed telling me that it happens, I'll have to wait another 30 mins or longer. Shocked at his response I ask for my money back and the receptionist rolls her eyes at me amd asks me if I am serious. I was nothing but nice and to be treated in this manner is completely unprofessional. I expected more from a specialist but he obviously didn't need my money as he clearly didn't have the time to spare to honour his appointment.
