Don’t be caught but the glitz and glamour……..spend over R10 000 for lip fillers only to find that after the swelling was gone, the lips were back to normal! A lot of people complain and had bad experiences!! Never again!!

Misleading consultation fees!!! I had an appointment with Dr Melinda Aesthetics on the 19th January 2024. They have send the price list via whats-app before the consultation. On the price list is clearly states the following: 5min consultation fee R1000 AND 6min-60min consultation fee R3000 (No Vat added as advertised). Also in red: "15% VAT will be added to all procedures" ONLY. When leaving the consultation room to pay for the consultation, the fee was suddenly R1150. Their explanation was that they add 15% VAT to the consultation after the price list CLEARLY states 15% VAT is only on procedures. Surely clients don't look and just pay. BE AWARE: Think twice making use of their services as they add fees to their consultation fees. And they do not tell you this.

My wife had an appointment with Dr. Chantelle at Dr. Melinda Aesthetics on the 19th January 2024. Dr. Melinda Aesthetics sent the price list via whatsapp. The price list stipulate clearly that the consultation fees are R1000 for 15 MIN and 6-60 min R3000. When leaving the doctors room to pay, the fee was suddenly R1150. The explanation was that they add 15% VAT to the consultation fee as this go to SARS. On the price list it clearly states that 15% VAT will be added to procedures and nothing is mentioned regarding the consultation fees. BE VERY CAREFUL: They are misleading their clients with the consultation fees. Surely no-one looks and just pays. Section 65 requires prices advertised or quoted by electronic services suppliers in respect of a taxable supply of electronic services to include VAT and the electronic services supplier must state in its adverti*****t or quote that the price is inclusive of VAT. The VAT Act further states that price advertised or quoted by a VAT vendor must include VAT and the vendor must state in the advertised or quote that the price includes VAT, unless the total price quoted or advertised is displayed as excluding tax and the price inclusive of tax are advertised or quoted.
