Absolutely terrible service and workmanship. Quote for 260 sq m and coverage of the product is 60 sq m per 20 lt. That equates to 9 drums of 20 lt. They only used 2 drums but charge for the full amount. That can only be instruction from the management to do. When informing about leaks and questioning workmanship Hendrik Slabbert the director gets verbally abusive, and finds any reason under the sun to try back out of his warranty. They were informed of leaks in November 2022, application was done during winter that same year. Took over a month for them to come out and rectify. Informed of leaks again and they do not arrive as promised. Once again informed them of leaks and after plenty of arguing from our side they arrived to have a look. Dented the steel roof in the process but leaks are still not solved. STAY AWAY FROM HENDRIK SLABBERT, OR ANYTHING TO DO WITH DROPSTOP.

Work done by them in March 2922. November first rains the roof was leaking. Contacted them on the 4th of November. Promises and lies, after a fight they finally arrived on the 15th of December. Roof still leaking after they were supposedly done. Next rain season same thing. Roof leaks and let them know, fight to get them to sort out. Upon research they do people in by using way too little of the product. 20 tl drum covers 60 sq m one coat for the job they did they only used 2 drums. Go figure the roof leaks. Not to mention the refusal to honour the warranty and the verbal abuse from Hendrik Slabbert. Anyone want to join in on taking them to task and holding them accountable? Time these ****mers and ****s/******* are put to an end.

Regret using them to waterproof a balcony with their so called rubberproof product. Work was done in by an *********** supervisor (during the December rains) while the owner was on vacation. Balcony started leaking within 2 months. Excuse after excuse was given - everything from their vehicles breaking down, being stuck in KZN, phones broken to even being unable to access mail on a laptop. Was verbally promised that I would be refunded and then back tracked when I took them up on the offer or to completely redo the balcony. They refused to admit that their work was inferior and insisted on just fixing where it is leaking - which any person who know waterproofing will agree that's like fixing a leaking dam with a finger. They didn't honor times and arrived 45 mins late for an inspection, without having the decency to call to they they were running late. I eventually used someone else who was ashamed to even say that the work done was dismal.

I was appalled by the unprofessional standard of work performed at my residence on 07 September 2022 by DropStop Repairs & Maintenance. I offered Dropstop the right of reply before posting the public review. I was even more appalled by the vulgar language used in the reply - language which I would not ever use. The person, Hendrik who I was told will be coming to oversee the work did not pitch up. The reason Dropstop provided is that he was busy on another site. It seems that this is normal practice. A persons word should be sacred irrespective of the size of the job. It seems Dropstop does not care for small customers. The crew that arrived were not clearly briefed on the issue at hand and were not adequately prepared. to effectivly address the issue. The preparation and cleaning of the surface of the gutterwas very poor. The cleaning of the surface with a paint brush did not effectively remove dust, dirt, bord droppings etc. This compromises the integrity of the performed work. The paint applied on top of bird droppings (photos have been taken) does not provide peace of mind that the rain water leaks have been sorted. In earlier discussions with Dropstop they emphasized to me the importance of adequate preparation of the surface before commencing any repairs. My concern is that due to the inadequate cleaning of the gutter surface the repair is going to deteriorate and not going to last for too long and the ceiling is still very likely to leak. This is really unfortunate as any leak gets into our lounge which is carpeted. As with rainstorms in the highveld, it typically occurs in the evenings when help is not readily available. Also, the damage would already be done by the time it is rectified.

We had a leaking roof. It is 2 months gone, they have been paid in full, and work still not satisfactorily completed. Roof still leaking and the sealant in the pond is bubbling. Everytime we call, they have been out 5 times already, they come for a few minutes and say we will be back next week and dont come. excuses about the weather. Really shoddy and unprofessional work. asked for guarantee , they say its on the drum-product, which we dont have.
