I bought a second hand Ford Ranger that had smoke coming from exhaust. Did not worry as I knew it will get sorted at Eastrand engine and turbo. Alan gave me an acceptable quote and had new injectors fitted. Vehicle is running like new even with 427000kms on it. Thank you Eret.

I went to Eastrand engine and turbo to have injectors replaced on my 2019 Ford Ranger as they are self acclaimed specialists. Although they were not the cheapest, I thought I will give them a try. They replaced the injectors at R23000 and when the technician came back from a test drive, he stated that there was a boost leak. I was happy with the job they did on my injectors and took it back for them to attend to boost leak. They told me there is a hole in the ****ler the size of a R5 coin and quoted R3500 to remove and weld it and therefore I will be loosing power. Made more sense to me to fit a new system for R4500. I purchase a complete stainless system and fitted it myself in under an hour. When I inspected the old system, there was no hole. I confronted them about it and Jolene told it is not the original system that was on the vehicle. She basically called me ****. It ended up very nasty and loud inside the reception area and I left as that is how she speaks to her technicians aswell, even infront of clients. I can't understand the mentality of Jolene, I did not go there to ask for money although the cost of a new exhaust and their diagnostics was R6000. All I wanted was for them find this boost leak that they already charged me for. I even spoke to Alan the owner and we also ended up in a swearing competition. Eventually Alan asked me if I would like to take my vehicle back for them to diagnose it again. I declined as I would not like to go near Jolene or anyone else that tries to make me out to be a **** only to cover for their incompetency.

Avoid this business at all costs. I have been in the motor industry for over 25 years, and never have I encountered a company so determined to avoid honoring a warranty. In this industry, it’s common practice to support one another in good faith when issues arise — yet between Allan and his Jolene, there was nothing but arrogance and a complete refusal to take responsibility. We purchased a rebuilt engine from them. When it overheated again, the warranty was voided without any fair investigation into the root cause. An independent third-party inspection revealed several critical issues: poor-quality honing, worn pistons, a dropped sleeve, and a crack in the block behind the sleeve. Despite this, Allan flat-out denied the possibility of any fault on their side, citing video evidence of the rebuild — yet never offered a professional face-to-face discussion or any constructive engagement. What you're also not told upfront when buying an engine is the extensive list of hidden terms and conditions that come with it. You are required to test the injectors, purchase a new water pump, thermostat, and more — meaning you need to budget almost another R10,000 just to retain their warranty. I followed every one of these conditions and submitted proof, yet they falsely claim it was not received. Whether this is due to administrative incompetence or outright dishonesty, I can't say — but it’s clear they will do everything in their power to avoid taking any liability for their product. Following my complaint, they continued to insist that we had used old parts — which we absolutely did not. I have receipts to prove every part was purchased new, and I also have email correspondence showing that I submitted this proof to them. I was especially careful in documenting everything, because I already had a sense that there might be issues after experiencing the way they treated me once they had received payment. Allan chose instead to hide behind paperwork and WhatsApp messages, refusing any proper discussion, and went so far as to dismiss me as “one of those customers.” He told me bluntly that he doesn’t care and I should go to the Ombudsman or get a lawyer. This kind of immature and defensive behaviour suggests it’s not the first time they’ve handled customer concerns this way. Sadly, my experience is not unique. A Hello Peter review by someone named Gary S on 7 August 2023 outlines a strikingly similar situation, as does a review by Stephen on 16 February 2024. This shows a consistent pattern of avoidance, arrogance, and poor after-sales support. I cannot express my disgust and disappointment strongly enough. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business at all costs.

If you wanna play with your money, do not go to these people. They will **** you and never take responsibility. They will always blame you for their mistakes after you have spent money on them. There is a rude white lady called Jolene Fourie. She'll be rude on the phone call , sometimes she won't even answer. Took my car Ford Ranger for engine repairs in December 2024, after 2 days the oil was leaking, I called them they said I should bring they car to them, when i got there they said it's not on them. They said I damaged it. After paying R56 000 that's the answer I got. We fought and fought until it got ugly. I warn ⚠️you. Don't ever take your car to them.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL **** YOU. All the good reviews you see were written by their stuff and bosses. Took my Ford Ranger to them on 27 September 2024, it had turbo problems, I was quoted R17000, paid it, they told me more parts were needed paid extra R11000, when you call they don’t answer. There is a rude lady called Jolene, she’s so rude and full of nonsense, no customer service at all specially when you are black. I ended up involving police because they didn’t want to refund me. I WARN YOU, do not take your car to them, you will regret.
