Check prices carefully when ordering from Takealot, as it appears that prices may change between viewing an item and adding it to the cart. I looked at three items priced at R630, but when they appeared in the cart, the total had increased to R743!
I submitted an online enquiry requesting the installation of my own air conditioner, as well as servicing of four existing units. I was advised that you do not sell the brand I have. I clarified that I already own the unit, as stated in my original enquiry. I was then informed that you do not install or service any brands that you do not supply. Surely an air conditioner remains an air conditioner, regardless of the brand and shouldn't they put it on their website instead of wasting customers time?
On Sunday, 25 January, I emailed Food *****s Market’s customer care to report that some managers were smoking and vaping inside the restaurant area of one of their stores. Early on Monday morning, I received a response expressing regret for my negative experience and confirming that the matter would be escalated to the relevant store. Shortly thereafter, James from the store contacted me personally to apologise for the incident and advised that additional, larger no-smoking signs would be installed. This is customer service that I truly appreciate, and I hope other companies will similarly ensure full compliance with the regulations of the Tobacco Products Control Act.
I placed an order for plumbing items on 10 December 2025. While the warehouse portion of the order was delivered promptly, the remaining items were inexplicably scheduled for delivery only on 1 January 2026 from the Greenstone branch, which is approximately 13 kilometres away! This significant delay was never disclosed to me at the time of placing the order and is wholly unacceptable. On 12 December, I contacted customer service and was assured, after investigation, that the outstanding items would be delivered on 15 December. Having received no delivery updates, I contacted customer service again on 15 December and clearly explained that the items were urgently required, as my plumber was scheduled to carry out the work on 16 December. After consulting with the Greenstone branch, I was once again assured that delivery would take place on 15 December, or failing that, early on 16 December. Despite these repeated assurances, I later received notifications indicating that the order had merely been packed and, at 15:38, collected by the courier. To date, the delivery has still not been made. As a direct result of your failure to honour the commitments given by your representatives, I was forced to cancel my plumber, incurring unnecessary inconvenience and potential additional costs. This matter reflects a serious breakdown in communication and service delivery.
This is the third time in a row that I have ordered from Temu and had to follow up to ensure my items were delivered. They promise delivery within a certain time, but then offer excuses, blaming the weather or the agent. My current order was placed on the 4th of December (12 days ago) and has not been loaded onto the aeroplane yet! Other than Shein you never know what the duties are going to be and differ between 20 and 39%!

The company is using Walmart's contact details and physical addresses on their website and confirmation from Walmart is that they are not part of Walmart. They refuse to allow you to view the product before payment. A real **** as my Procurement Coordinator could not place their dialect!

I ordered 4 items from Makro on 30 August 2024, order no. MAK7534026. The first 3 items were delivered on three different days! Despite having phoned 3 times and promised feedback by inter alia Ethan, nothing was done! Even sent a few emails unsuccessful. Still waiting for the last item to be delivered! For the the life of me I can't understand how deliveries by Makro are economical and their customer service stinks! Will definitely not buy from them again!
