Marvellous shopping experience!
Really helpful and positive staff work here which immediately makes you feel happy to be there. You are always greeted with a "how can I help you?", "can I carry that for you?" and a staff member takes the heavy rolls from you and to the cutting table. I never feel rushed, watched or crowded though. People who enjoy their work and are interested in their customers run this store. Refreshing. Always a pleasure!

Refusal to refund
I am very disappointed with Fabric and bridal world. I have paid a deposit of R1700 and on the receipt it states 20%off the deposit is non refundable, which I understand. However they are refusing to pay me the balance. I have explained that my wedding is cancelled and they are not interested in paying me what is due. I will never advise anyone to go there.

Refusal to refund
I am very disappointed with Fabric and bridal world. I have paid a deposit of R1700 and on the receipt it states 20%off the deposit is non refundable, which I understand. Appalling service
I went to Fabric World in Wynberg today intending to buy a large amount of fabric. The shop floor was full of staff talking loudly to one another, a few customers and a lot of fabric. After waiting to be served, I approached a member of staff to ask for help and he told me quite curtly to go and talk to the assistants on the other side of the shop. I did so, and again, had to flag someone down to ask about a certain type of fabric. Without even waiting to hear my query he told me rudely that they didn’t have any and started to walk off. I called him back to ask about the second type of fabric I wanted, and he turned around and walked off while I was talking to him. At this point swallowed my temper and found one last member of staff to assist me, only to be told that she was busy (chatting to another staff member). At that I walked out and will never go back to Fabric World again. Until today I’d have recommended it as one of the best fabric shops in Cape Town but now I will actively discourage people from going there. Your mistake Fabric World.

Wedding dress matters with dishonest store
Dear customers, I would like to warn any future bride against buying your dress from Bridal & Fabric World on Musgrave. They were dishonest, they lied and would not give me a refund for my purchase. They do not comply with the Consumer Protection Act. They sold myself and my sister-in-law the Almost identical wedding dresses and lied to both of us. They promised us once off unique wedding gowns (one of a kind items) and also disclosed that our dresses were different. However on the day of my sister-in-laws wedding she walked down the isle in the almost identical wedding dress that I had purchased. And the store knew. When I took my dress back to the store on the Monday before my wedding for a refund or to exchange it for another dress they refused. The store staff acted dishonestly and did not act fairly.

Store Rip Off
Purchased a gown from the Fabric and Bridal world on Commercial Road.<br> Paid a R1000 deposit, it was not even 24hrs and the store does not want to return the deposit.<br> The store only wishes to pay R210 which is 20% of the selling price for the gown.<br> <br> That is a total rip off.<br> I appeal to many not to purchase from the store as they are a total rip off. <br> The customer service is pathetic and management is untrained.
