I have been using First Ascent products for many years and have consistently found their quality to be excellent. After damaging my jacket during a run, First Ascent assisted with the repair. Their after-sales service is outstanding, and I can confidently recommend them.

Hi, To whom it may concern. Please train your customer service team to respond to customer queries in a more prompt and efficient manner. It does not take days to respond to an email.

Bought a Jacket online on the 05.06.2025, to realise that I was double charged. This was due to a malfunction on their system (which I was told) It is the 1st of July 2025 and still waiting for my refund. When I first emailed them regarding this, all they could say was that the Refunds would be processed shortly (24 June 2025) Last email received now is that I have to wait for the appropriate person. It feels like this appropriate person don't give a **** about its customers but only sales... SOUR TASTE ON THIS PRODUCT...

Bought a Jacket online on the 05.06.2025, to realise that I was double charged. I bought a number of items from their online shop, most of which was too small. The size guide is completely wrong. That shouldn't have been a big deal, because online retail is an established an polished industry and companies like Takealot, Amazon and Under Armour have shown us how slick and easy the returns and exchanges process should be. Not so at First Ascent online. I had to copy fields from the order and paste them into a text box on the First Exchange returns page. After I finally submitted the form, I recieved this email response: "Due to a high volume of requests, a First Ascent Support agent will contact you within 24 - 72 hours (excluding weekends) via email only to assist you with your request." Seriously, this is what online retail looked like 30 years ago. Today, there is no excuse for such a sub-standard experience. I like the gear, but I will not buy online again.

I returned a jacket because I ordered navy and received a denim blue jacket. 2 weeks after it was delivered to their premises, my refund has not even been processed. When I followed up after a week, I was told that it would be done by the end of the week and when I followed up again after that, I was again told that it would be processed at the end of the week. I would not recommend that you buy online from this company as they are clearly not set up for online purchases and returns

I purchased a jacket more than ten years ago. Initially the zip broke within 2 months, which they offered to fix after I contacted them. I was sceptical at first, but I received the jacket back promptly and can say that I still have the jacket and it still works (the zip also). So thank you for the service.

I recently bought a new First Ascent down jacket and it has been great. Sadly it got snagged on a recent trip and tore badly. I contacted First Ascent and was connected with Nicole. I sent the jacket back for repair and had it back with me a few weeks later, good as new. Great service, thank you.
