Freedom Won do not honour their Gaurantee and Warranty!!! They have had my battery for almost 4 weeks. They initially said it would just be two weeks max, they do not give any feedback and they just provide generic responses with no true ETA. It was my worst mistake selecting Freedom Won 15/12 battery for my home solar system. Their products are inferior despite the hefty price tag. I was told the price is high because you get what you pay for, but this is so untrue. They are corporate *******. It has been another two weeks an NO BATTERY HAS BEEN RETURNED. FreedomWon batteries are NOT made in South Africa, they are branded here but the are Chinese batteries. They have know the cells in my battery need to be replaced for 3 months and yet they are still waiting for stock. This when they are supposed to be making the batteries. They are just a front and they DO NOT DELIVER ON THEIR WARRANTY OR GAURANTEE! Serial number: FW2021-17464

I bought a new Fredom Won Etower Battery and it was installed 1 month ago. From the very first day it was giving problem as one cell will not charge. The person assisting me told me that I overcharged the battery which is incorrect, from the logs on the battery the over charge happened when the battery was manufactured over a year ago and not since I had the battery. Freedom Won now want to repair the battery but I bought a new battery and do not want a repaired battery that was faulty from day 1! I have also found many people have had problems with this same model battery, seems quality control is very poor at the factory of these eTower batteries. Other manufacturers use the same components without having these problems. I only have the 1 battery and no grid connection so it can not be expected that I must wait for a battery repair.

Good afternoon. I first of all want to thank hello Peter for their action and assistance with a company Freedom Won that I have had problems with. After I reported the matter things happened very fast and I appreciate how they reacted after the complaint. I have received a request from you to grade freedom Won after their reaction but I felt it would not be fair to rate them by giving just a number and thought it better to give you a proper and detailed review. I am sending you their responce as it would be the appropriate thing to do. In short I am very happy it is just a bit of a dissapointment that it had to go so far. I herewith attach their response and want to thank them for this it is truely appreciated and yes I will continue with them. I have been dealing with Freedom Won for the past 2 years. Their sales team has always been more than willing to help and I have always received good customer service after opening a support ticket. It is good to see the enhancements and improvements they have made as they have grown.

For the past 2 years I have been battling with a warranty claim on my 30/21 Lite.The cells went out of balance and after many attempts to fix the problem remotely they finally decided I should bring it in for balancing.According to the warranty document I got from them they are supposed to come and collect it.When I received it back I noticed that the cells were slowly going out of balance agai****** again I booked a ticket.After countless hours of wasting my time sitting behind a plugged in laptop,they said they will send out technicians to site.After two days of trying to fix the battery on site to no avail,they told me to bring the battery in again.After 3 weeks they let me know that my battery is fixed and I can come and collect it.I then noticed that they have halved the capacity of my battery due to bad cells.After countless emails and phone calls and not getting anywhere, I have decided to take legal action and asked an attorney to address the matter.He gave them 10days to respond.On day 7 they told me they wil replace my battery for a second hand one,but I need to pay in an extra R50 000.00 before VAT.We eventually agreed that I would give them my old 30/21 + another faulty 40/28 I had in exchange for a 30/24 which had 46 cycles on.They told me they wil send the battery for testing then they will deliver it.That is where everyting went dead silent.I phone them everyday to find out what is happening and they will just ignore me.Up to today I am trying to get an answer from them on when they are going to send me my battery,but no response.This company has the worst ever customer service you will ever get.They don't have a department who handles warranties.You will speak to one of the engineers,who is always to busy to respond.Please be very carefull when dealing with this company. Very disappointed customer

I am writing this today because for six months I have been trying to get a battery fixed which I bought from freedom won. These people do not answer their phones and when you eventually get hold of someone they are not interested and take months to put anything into action. I managed to get one of their ex-employees who does work for various of their resellers or agents and he checked the Battery. He found that some of the cells were no longer working and had to be replaced as per the ten year Guarantee they give when selling the Batteries. The S.O.C on this Battery never worked from day 1 and after replacing it with a so called new one it still does not work. When I arrived at their agent’s office in Gaborone six months after I had to send it to their office at my cost nothing was done. I saw a computer linked up Balancing Cells which could not be balanced because their ex-employee already informed them cells are gone and can not be balanced. However, they assured me that all was fixed now and I could return home. When I asked about the SOC still not working and local agents then asked the South African Office about it and the S.A team asked how far I must travel to get home and the locals said 1300 km. The S.A. technician then told the local team to close the battery and to wish me a safe drive I can only assume and expecting I will just keep quiet. The worst is knowing it is not working!!!!!! I think people must be warned not to use this product as it is expensive and does not stand up to the promises made at all. In my case it has been a waiting game for more than six months and having to have included timers on fridges and important equipment just to ensure we have some power because the battery makes a total power out when reaching 41 % of total capacity. It is crazy and why should I be happy with this when I want to use all the power the battery should be able to give. If after this letter we can not get any satisfaction, I will approach all news papers in Botswana and South Africa to warn every person who considers buying this product to look for something else as Freedom Won will be a costly product, with a we do not care attitude.
