*****sters take your money but refuse to refund returns. A shady lot.
French Spares @ 199 Stormvoël Road, East Lynne Pretoria ALERT!! *****STERS!! Do not deal with these guys. They promise to refund During December 2024 I bought an aircon pump from them for R1400. They demanded a cash payment (no cards), to which end I withdrew the money for the payment (wonder how much income they are hiding from the tax man...)They gave me a hand written invoice... They assured me that it was the correct pump in working order. It turned out not to be and I returned the pump the very same day in the same good order. When I asked for my cash back, they refused and said they would do an EFT to my bank account. Since December to date I have not received any refund from them. They have a 1001 excuses, but no refund to date. These people are shady. I highly suspect that the spares business is a cover up for some shady business. I think they need to be investigated. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Incompetent and Unprofessional Service
<p>A month ago I called French Spare Parts Silverton branch as I was looking for brake pads for my Renault Clio. They told me they have them and I should bring my car there. I took a day off from work and went to the shop, the salesman just looked at my car and gave me the brake pads. Mind you he didn't explain to me that I must fit them there. I took the brake pads and went to buy and fit tyres elsewhere.. The reason I did not fit the brake pads there was because I was going to change all my tyres the same day, and I could do wheel alignment and balancing. The guy who works at a tyre shop tried to fit in the pads but he realised that they were wrong. I then bought the brake pads at the tyre shop as I did not have enough time to go back to Silverton and get the correct ones. When I went to take them back they told me they can only give me the correct ones and not my money back. I feel like I was being panished for their incompetence. They were not willing to give me my money back and won't admit to their mistake. Although they gave me a voucher which i do not think I will use it, I needed my money back. I will not recomment them to anyone.</p>

I've been held responsible for they unproffesional
I call this shop for several time looking for a part all they inform me about was the price of R5 000 and that the part is available, on the 05 of February 2016. I went to buy the part in that time I informed them that I am not sure about what I am buying and the offered a slip and 1 of them marked the parts for them to know that its from they shop. they didn't tell me about they terms and conditions on they are goods. I never checked the goods because I have know idea of it and I was exited that I got it at last but I thought I was safe because I informed them about my situation and I have a slip with me. then I was told by my mechanic that the other parts are wrong and only 1 parts is needed, then on the 08 of February I called the shop to inform them then they agree that they will take those and give me the other 1 with R3 000. on the 9th of February I went back to the shop for the agreement when i get there they told me that they don't return the electrical parts, that the person who was helping me which is one of they are staff was wrong for making agreement with me and they have issues with that kind of behavior. and they are not sure of the part anymore because its opened .

fraudulant transaction on a nissan Np200 1.5 cdi
as a part finder my clients contact me for engines and gearboxes i pride myself on finding the right part at the right price after numerous phone calls and internet browsing i contacted French Spare Parts the Salesman was Jan. explained to him i am looking for a NP200 DCI K9KM engine complete.He told me he can help mei requested a quote from him. On 11 Sept 2015 i got the Quote from him.he send the frong engine info again i contacted him. he told me he made a mistake and requote me with the correct engine. I paid him the requested amount. Timefreight collected the engine and deliver it in Capetown. the wrong engine they send the K9KD engine. the engine was send back to them. Now since Sept 2015 they have the money and the engine THIS COMPANY WILL BULL SH*T YOU AS FAR AS THEY CAN THE TIME EFFORT E MAILS AND PHONE CALLS THAT ISPEND ON THIS PROBLEM TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE IS WORTH A EXTRA R7500 AND I WILL SUE THEM PERSONALLY FOR THAT

Useless
Got a used dashboard for a vehicle they claimed is not damaged, its full of scratches and damaged when received on delivery. Struggling for 2 months to get hold of them regarding the issue and then they promised to send another dash 2 weeks ago that still hasn't arrived. Not getting any response or refund. When I actually got hold of them they mock you over the phone and never return the call. This is unacceptable.

Useless
Got a used dashboard for a vehicle they claimed is not damaged, its full of scratches and damaged when received on delivery. Contemptible and Unacceptable Service
I am really disappointed in the quality of service that I have received from French Spare Parts!!! I bought a gear box from French Spare Parts in Pretoria on the 1/22/2015. I have since paid for the gear box however up to date I have not received it. I had made several calls to Alex to follow up, they have been providing me with false information and sending me from pillar to post. I have also visited their office and escalated the matter to their director Herve Toukoui who promised that he was going to sort it last week on Friday (6 March 2015) and order a gear box however to my disappointment.
