This business is fraudulent. We paid them the full amount of R20000 and now they do no response to calls and messages and have blocked us on whatsapp. A fraud case has been opened. They have an offical website genpowersystems.co.za and look very professional.

Despite being run off their feet and overwhelmed with business because of the extended power outage in large parts of Pretoria East, Genpower and more specifically Leon, managed same day delivery of our generator. I am absolutely delighted with the service delivered by Genpower and Leon!

Genpower came to service my petrol 10kva Honda GX670 unit and it didn't work anymore after they left. On following up with them, they told me that I needed a new carburettor and fuel pump and sent me a quote for over R9878. I asked another company to check the generator and they told me the choke cable was unhooked and the choke was stuck in the open position. The repair cost me R750 for the callout...

Our standby generator started acting up by not running smooth. I got a quote from Genpower PTA west of R530.00 to have it serviced. They said I should bring it in (Friday) and they will strip the carburetor and let it soak for 2 days to clean. When I phoned on (Monday) to get an update, they said that they have not yet started with my generator. Three hours later they phoned me and said that they had soaked the parts over the weekend and it is so clogged up, they will have to replace the whole carburetor, and apparently the coil is malfunctioning as well, and needs to be replaced, bringing the quote to R4500.00 to continue. I explained to the salesman how can you soak parts for 2 days if no work was done at all on the machine? Knowing this cannot be true, I phoned Genpower PTA west back to speak to the original salesperson and ask him again if they worked on my machine? Now he clearly did not know what to say. I told him this is not acceptable, and that I am on my way to collect the generator, as this is absurd. On collection of the generator you could see that they never even touched the machine, as the carburetor was still full of dust, and the nuts holding the carburetor was untouched. I took the generator to our shop and opened the carburetor myself, the jet was clogged with dirt. I rinsed the parts, blew it clean with compressed air, and reinstalled the carburetor. It fired right up with the first pull and runs like it should. It cost me nothing, they could have earned their original R530.00 by just being honest. Job no: 30059

I purchased a generator from Genpower April 2014<br> I requested installation of the generator as well as a COC( Certificate of Compliance ) to comply with electrical installation requirements<br> They confirmed in writing that the COC is included in all installation<br> Three months after installation the automatic start failed Genpower fixed a switch <br> How do you supply a COC with a faulty ? switch ?<br> <br> In December I purchased another generator<br> I was in the shop when site inspection and the COC request was scheduled on a public holiday<br> When the public holiday was queried the installation department confirmed all details ( date address and the COC request<br> They did not pitch on the public holiday as the booking was not confirmed according to the installation department<br> <br> I received the installation quote very similar to the first installation quote and proceeded to pay them <br> <br> Installation soon followed and when I queried the COC I was told that it was not included<br> <br> The installation was done so poorly that all the wires have melted after the first use <br> <br> I want the COC which I have paid for
