I would STRONGLY discourage anyone using the services of Gheko and Neil Kemp to build, construct or install a swimming pool. Neil ignored my complaints that the pool continued to leak after he tried to patch it up. I independently obtained the services of an engineer and four pool builders with more than thirty years experience in the trade; All of them informed me that what Neil delivered was ''poor workmanship''.

Belinda Da Fonseca What a disgrace that you would actually post this job and place pictures on Facebook since you have never provided us with a functional product?? A product we have paid for in FULL and probably highly overcharged. Do you have no company ethics? Oh, stupid question - As it is very apparent that you DO NOT. The first sign of a company to look out for is if they allow reviews on their FB page - if they do not - they are hiding something - Probably **** services rendered and definitely bad ratings that will no doubt come streaming in if they allowed transparency. A WARNING to all those even considering @Gheko Services - This pond that we built - was quoted for by Gheko services and paid in full by us. All they had to do was seal, put in a spout, light, and a pump. After the first visit from @Neil Gerald Kemp- he sealed the area and put in a light, spout, and pump. We had to call @Neil Gerald Kemp back to reseal as there were several areas of concern with the sealing - the light and the pump. Incredibly untidy and unprofessional execution. The pump was spitting out a few drops of water and not functioning at all like it was guaranteed to and quoted for. @Neil Gerald Kemp came back to make apparent changes and then advised that we had to wait a few days to turn on the pump to allow for drying time. We paid him in full after he guaranteed us that it was working 100%. After a few days, we turned on the pump and there was no difference. The water was not pumping any better. The pond is still leaking very badly. Our electricians advised that the electrical connection to the LED light is hazardous, not compliant, and illegal as there was no conversion for the required voltage. This leads me to believe that Gheko Sevices does not actually know what they are doing... Please do not believe what you see on their website and cover pages. These pictures are probably stollen on the internet and not an actual true reflection of the work that they have carried out themselves. At this stage, he wanted to charge us another R2000 for a new stronger pump. This after charging us an initial 13K+. For the sake of getting the job completed, we agreed to pay the additional rate for the pump. @Gheko services demanded that we first pay them before coming out to do the repair. Logically with experience of dealing with them, we said that we would settle directly after we were satisfied that we had a working pond. We said we would pay them on-site in cash after seeing the product working ourselves. They refused to come out before additional payment was settled. We made several attempts to contact them and they blocked our numbers on Whatsapp. We made contact with @Daniela S. Heinrich and she was incredibly rude and condensing on all calls and communication. Seems that they have a trend in doing this to customers as can be seen on Hello Peter https://www.hellopeter.com/gheko-services https://www.hellopeter.com/gheko-ponds-and-pools. Further down in the posts you can also see negative complaints on their posts as well as on Instagram. We have reported them to consumer protection and posting our warning on all possible networks and community platforms so that they are less likely to ***** others over with their dishonesty and unethical business practices. We have just had a quote for R6500 to repair their mess

When I was a kid, we played cowboys and crooks and chose who we wanted to be. If you deal with Neil Kemp and Gheko (pool) Services, you will get both. Neil was contracted by me to build a 4x3 concrete pool. They sell you the dream. When digging the pool they chopped off an underground down-pipe flow. He lied to me and told me it was a French Drain pipe that went nowhere. Nevertheless, I asked him to relay it which he didn’t do. A year later, as a result of this cowboy approach, all the rainwater and backwash that went down the gutter eroded the soil under the pool to such an extend that the the bottom cracked and lost all the water - remember it was pipes that were simply chopped off. After calling him numerous times he came out. He was irritated with me, again ‘cowboyed’ on and patched the pool awfully, smoothing nothing and leaving atrocious work behind him (sneakily hiding the rubble behind the dog kennel). Needless to say, the pool leaked again and lost 95% of it’s water. I contacted Neil and requested that he fix the leak(s). Still waiting to this day without a response on whatsapp from him (he blocks the calls). I got some professionals over to quote me to fix his mess and to use their words “...was shocked at the poor workmanship performed...”. I would not recommend Neil Gerald Kemp or Gheko Services to touch a pool. I question his integrity and skillset.

Terrible experience to deal with this company and owners. I requested a quote to have a simple 3x3m pond sealed. Neil came out and came across as knowledgeable. I explained that I would be buying a result and not a service. To my fault I did not get more quotes or advice and went ahead. During repair I did raise concerns of pealing paint but he assured me they know what they are doing. Needless to say the pond was leaking more after there service. After I phoned him 3 times he said his partner and he agreed that they will come and repair there work for extra money. what a cheek! Neil "and his partner" is either incompetent or thief's. Leave it to him to decide. When I finally repaired the work myself it was a fraction of the cost. They took me for a 700% profit ride. Learned my lesson.

Cost me R1800 for a pool vacuum and it was not done properly and now they tell me I need to do a bunch of other stuff including a second vacuum so the first vacuum of R1800 was for nothing, completely over priced and terrible service.

Pool paving not repaired as per quotation. I called Gheko Services to request a quote to repair paving that was lifting next to my swimming pool. Neil from Gheko Services came out to have a look at what work needed to be done to level the paving. He explained that they would have to lift all the paving the on the one side of the pool, remove the sand below the paving, relay paving level and grout with cement and that this could take one or two days. He advised that Daniela from his office would send a quote. I received the quote for R2500 of which I had to pay a deposit of R1875 before they would commence with the work. I was happy with the quote and paid the deposit. Neil with a worker arrived on the a week later to complete the work. They had attempted to remove the paving that were lifting but the tiles were cracking. So they just bevel grouted the paving to the other pavers. They were here for maximum of 4 hours. Neil explained to me that he won't be able to level the pavers because they are too thin and will crack. I have requested a refund of my deposit because the worked quoted for to level the paving was not done. He said they don't do refunds. me. Their service is pathetic.

Neil Kemp and Danielle should be deregistered and reported. They worked on a pool in our yard in Cape Town and it leaked from day 1. When they would not return for repairs we had to get lawyers involved and even after their second attempt, it still leaked. The coping (tiles) around the edge crumbled and the mosaic was a crumbly sticker. The sides peeled off of the concrete. They created an eyesore and devalued our property.
