Based on recent customer reviews, Glasfit delivers a polarised customer experience across its South African branches. Positive feedback highlights swift windscreen replacements, friendly consultants, and professional fitment at branches like Bryanston, Witbank, Bonaero Park, and Pinetown. However, a significant volume of complaints centres on poor communication, unanswered phones, broken promises on stock availability, and damage caused to vehicles during installation. Multiple branches, including Menlyn, Centurion, Vredenburg, and Klerksdorp, face criticism for rude staff, dishonest practices, and lack of accountability when workmanship issues arise.

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.

Calked Glasfit Bedfordview from 8.30 today. No reply/ phones were not being answered. I then called a friend of mines close by to go to Glasfit Bedfordview ( EDENVALE) to get them to call me. They called and I was told by Lydia that she is the only person on the phones and was too busy to pick up my calls. Wow. How do these businesses ever survive?

On 16 February my vehicle was booked in at Glasfit to repair my windscreen. This was your Vredenburg office. I specifically asked do you know how to fit the windscreen of my car and the answer was yes. My vehicle was returned the afternoon and when I later on looked at the passenger side, I noticed that the windscreen side pillar moulding was broken. I checked the driver side - same thing. I immediately informed your branch and also complained that the interior of the car was left full of black prints (it is white interior). Returned the next morning and both technicians who worked on the car acknowledged that they broke the mouldings when they tried to refit it. They also agreed they did not put any protection on the dash or seats when working. The reason for not telling us they broke it, was that we were not there at that point when it was broken. So either these workers are afraid to inform management or your shop is just dishonest to their customers. Agreed to replace it only to tell my insurance a week and a half later you are not replacing it - it was discussed with us. So no integrity, dishonest and lie to customers faces and poor workmanship. If you can stay away from this place and you actually want you car back in the condition you left it, DO NOT USE GLASFIT

I have an Absa activate insurance and Glasfit is the company that is supposed to install my tracker on behalf of Absa. the service that I received from the Menlyn Branch by the lady with the name of Yolandie is very poor. I called in to find a slot to bring my car I firstly ask working hours she tells me its 08 t0 17:00pm next question I ask do they open on weekends the response is that they have a slot today at 13H00. I repeat my question again she tells me to hold she will transfer me to the team that deals with the fitting after that she drops my call and never called back. I will write this review also to Absa so they can know their clients are treated by this service provider my policy number is 6556482752 I hope someone will call me to sort this issue out cause I don't have the energy to speak to Yolandie with her attitude.

I went to Glasfit Centurion on 9 December to get a quote for an insurance windscreen replacement. I was told there was no stock and that it could take up to 21 days. I submitted my insurance claim on 11 December 2025; it was approved within an hour, and the Centurion branch was copied on the authorisation email. About an hour later, the branch called to confirm they still had no stock and would place an order and update me. After that, communication became a major issue. I missed a call from them on 8 January, which was apparently just to inform me that they were still waiting for stock. I tried returning the call multiple times, but their phones simply rang with no answer. I eventually went to the branch in person on 15 January, where I was told—again—that there was no stock. I raised the phone issue and was told it had been reported to IT. At that visit, I was assured that they could see four windscreens available from their supplier and that one would be ordered and arrive by Tuesday, 20 January. Tuesday came and went with no update. I then received a call on 22 January to say the stock had not arrived. Finally, on 27 January, I was informed that the windscreen had arrived, and I booked my car in for 29 January. On the morning of the appointment, I was told the job would take about two hours and that I could wait. I chose to go home instead, as their reception area is not customer-friendly. I expected a call around 10:30 to say the car was ready. No call came. After multiple attempts to phone them after 12:30 (I needed the car to fetch my children from school), someone eventually answered and confirmed the car was ready. When I asked why I hadn’t been called, I was simply told they “meant to call me.” If you have another option, I strongly suggest avoiding the Glasfit Centurion branch. The lack of communication, broken promises, and overall poor service made this a very unpleasant experience.

This review is specifically for Glasfit Kimberley 1. I was given a terrible service purely because I’m a woman, which is outrageous, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. 2. A technician named Lopang gave me a cheeky, disrespectful attitude. It’s no surprise he was fired at his previous employer which also happens to be a glass company — that kind of behavior is unacceptable. 3. Their windscreen fitting skills are poor and nowhere near the standard they should be. 4. They don’t even install proper shatterproof windscreens — instead, they use recycled laminated windscreens. That is misleading, unacceptable, and downright infuriating. 5. Big up to the coloured guys working there who actually kept their professionalism — they stayed calm and respectful the entire time, unlike the rest of the mess I had to deal with.”

Person has to wait 2 weeks before sending enquiry again as no response from 1st online. Only then a response. Then with appointment, after having sent photo of photo of VIN, we discover wrong glass was ordered

Was nearly knocked over by GLASFIT GROUP bakkie CY 591597 that ignores it in Gabriel Rd And Constantia Main Rd Circle. Had even witnesses from the shops nearby commented about the person driving so fast through the pedestrian crossing. I won't support this company.

thank you very much for damaging the centre mirror coves and the cover at the bottom of the windscreen on the outside. i have instructed my insurer to never use glassfit again. bit of a backstory. the last windscreen replacement that you guys did, the guy told me he cant put the covers back because the clips are broken. so i said to him glassfit did the last one, then he responded by saying cant help with that, speak to VW. So now its time for another replacement and the new guys show me the broken cover on the outside as well. so Whoopi doo, another part i have to buy from VW because of your incompetence.
