Grassroof please increase your waitrons to deliver better service. The venue is lovely but the service extremely poor. May I suggest you take time to observe the excellent service at San Fernando's Restaurant where the owner, or his manager is on the floor checking in with the patrons to ask if there is anything amiss. Today our watron, Atkinson was either running between tables to serve, or missing in action somewhere else. Our drinks was served piecemeal and we waited for our food. We placed 4 food orders. One order arrived : scones and condiments. By the time this had been consumed the rest was still to be served. Whilst we we were waiting, another set of patrons were seated opposite us with 3 bodyguards. Two of the bodyguards seated themselves at our table and we politely pointed out that our grandchildren were outside, and they occupied their seats. It certainly is very disconcerting to go to a family restaurant and encounter bodyguards! This should not be allowed! Please Grassroof! Increase your serving staff over busy periods! Having said this I vow that this was my last visit to Grassroof. I have had weak service before at Grassroof. So unfortunately fool me twice, shame on me!

I went there with my child on a lovely Saturday morning. Went to go for a walk in the paid trail area and we both got shocked on an electric fence while we were looking at the donkeys. At first j thought it was my mistake for not reading any signs but upon further investigation there were absolutely no signs to warn people of the electric fence. The fence actually looks like a piece of rope tied to piles so of cause I didn't notice it was live. Was a horrible experience and I warn parents with younger kids to be careful on that plot. No apologies from management either!

We have been to Grassroof a few times, and hoped the service would get better! But unfortunately they won’t see us again. We asked for a table outside, and we could see there was a few open, but the lady insisted that we take a table inside. We said we have small children, and we want to watch them play outside. Well, she showed us a table inside, and disappeared. We saw another waiter, and asked if we could sit outside, showed him an open table, and 2 other ladies came, took the table, and the waiter walked off, leaving us without a table. This was not the first bad experience we had at Grassroof.

#Supportlocal - this lovely locally owned restaurant is closed due to cv19 but is selling fresh fruit and veg to all us locals.!!! What an awesome initiative. We dont have to worry about crowds, social distancing etc as we are a very small community. I'm feeling the knock personally as a small business offering self catering accommodation.#supportlocal
