Green Motion has competitive pricing and when we had a flat tyre deep in rural Eastern Cape, they were extremely helpful, booking us in for a replacement in Mthatha and ensuring that we reached our destination safely. I did take the additional tyre and windscreen cover, as well as their Premium Plus option, which I do recommend. They are a bit slow to release the security deposit, but had no issue doing so when reminded. I will definitely use Green Motion again.

Worst car rental experience of my life: 1. When we arrived at the airport our vehicle wasn't ready. We rented a small SUV and the rental was deducted from my Credit Card before we even arrived to collect the vehicle. The representative in the parking garage then offered another vehicle (a small sedan) - I indicated to him we will take the vehicle but requested a discount because it was a different class of vehicle. He said we already paid for the vehicle and there is no discount. I then insisted that we wanted the class of vehicle we paid for. He said we had to wait because the vehicle is still out. When the vehicle arrived they started processing it we loaded our luggage and then we were informed the vehicle is still blocked on the system because it was booked out for maintenance we need to wait for another vehicle. Needless to say that we had to stand in the parking garage until the other vehicle arrived - keep in mind there is no office where you can sit and wait because they operate out of the back of a vehicle... 2. Over and above the actual vehicle rental cost we paid we had to pay a "refundable" deposit of R13,300.00. This was part of the standard terms which I accepted. However what wasn't explained to us is that it may take up to 21 days before the deposit is refunded. Well here I'm sitting awaiting the refund (tomorrow will be 21 days...) I will definitely not make use of Green Motion again nor will I ever recommend them.

****mers they stole my deposit👎🏻🚫 This company ****med me! They never returned my guarantee deposit and kept pretending they did, even though the money never reached my account. I asked many times for official proof, but they never sent anything — just excuses and lies. After reading other reviews, I realized they’ve done the same thing to many people! This is clearly a pattern of dishonest behavior. It was a stressful, frustrating experience. Please be careful and do not deal with them! نصابين تحملو منهم 🚫👎🏻👎🏻 هذي الشركة نصابة! ما رجعوا لي مبلغ الضمان وظلّوا يدّعون إنهم رجّعوه، مع إن المبلغ ما وصل لحسابي أبداً. طلبت منهم أكثر من مرة إثبات رسمي للتحويل، لكنهم ما أرسلوا أي شيء، بس أعذار وكذب. وبعد ما قرأت تقييمات الناس، اكتشفت إنهم يسوّون نفس الشيء مع كثير غيري! واضح إن هذا أسلوب متكرر وغير صادق. كانت تجربة سيئة ومتعبة جداً، أنصح الجميع عدم التعامل معهم أبداً!

Experience was good from time of collection to return of vehicle. I did 235kms and was charged for 38.2 litres of fuel amounting to R819.41, which in my opinion is a total ripoff. Contacted their accounts department on Monday 2 June 2025, they realized it's not possible and promised to refund. Today 7 June 2025, still haven't received a refund. Totally disappointed 😞

I hired a car for 3 days from them at Cape Town airport and prepaid R1700 for that. I later phoned them to ask if I could extend the rental for 4 extra days and the guy said that's fine. I said should I pay now and was told I could pay when I picked up the car. I picked the car up and the charged me R3400 got the extra days. I thought that was a a grand too much but let it slide. Low and behold they then 4 weeks later to another R2500 off my account to pay for the extra days. When I queried why they said the extra days were R1300 plus vat per day. What a *******. I did get my deposit back quickly though but I'll never use them again.

Am so disappointed, worst car rental I regret trying it out. I had a stretch on the bumber which they charged me R7337.21 and they had my deposit of of R7300 which I expected that they would charge my credit card R37.21 which is the difference between my deposit and their claim charge but instead they charged my credit card R3837.21 which means they now owe me R3800 I tried calling spoke to the lady called Brenda from claims she mentioned that she will talk with the invoicing team. I still have not heard from her. I need somebody to call me and advise why was my credit card charged more than the amount due to you now I have to wait for more than 21 days. Call me on 076 209 2892

Am so disappointed, worst car rental I regret trying it out. I booked a car on 14 December and returned it on the 18th December. Every thing was in order in the car and even took it for a wash. They deducted 6k deposit from my credit card and I have not gotten it back and its now more than 30 days. I have been calling their offices and writing emails and they claimed on the call that they will call me back the person dealing with claims has been told. There has been no communication till today. Can I just get my deposit back and I will make sure to never book your cars
