I sold a bakkie to a customer from Rustenburg on 28th January 2021. On the way to Rustenburg the vehicle broke down. The next day I asked the customer to have the vehicle towed to G-Tec Pro Auto. After explaining the problem to the owner of G-Tec Pro Auto I was quoted +-5hrs labour to overhaul the cylinder head. He told me that the cylinder head also had to be checked by an engineering workshop at a cost of R950.00 to which I agreed. It was also agreed that I would supply the required parts for the overhauling. The parts were couriered to Rustenburg from Johannesburg. By the 9th of February the vehicle had still not been repaired. Numerous enquiries were made by myself and every time I was given a different explanation for the delay. The customer then requested that the vehicle be taken to a different workshop. G-tech Pro Auto insisted on payment of R15 399.65 before releasing the vehicle. I received an invoice for 20 hours labour amounting to R9 600.00 as well as engineering costs of R1 890.00 and headset at a cost of R1 616.00. Sundries came to R285.00. The total including VAT came to R15 399.65. I had no option but to pay the requested amount in order for the customer to remove the vehicle from the premises. I made payment of the invoice and the vehicle was removed on 10th February. On 11th February the customer contacted me to advise me that the vehicle had been repaired by another workshop and was in perfect running order. Apparently the timing of the vehicle was incorrectly done by G-tech Pro Auto and the rockers adjustment was too tight. The cost was R4 200.00. My dealings with G-tech Pro Auto has been shockingly inadequate and unprofessional due to their constant excuses and them seemingly not having the knowledge to carry out the necessary repairs. The owner was simply not interested in any complaints or compromise. It is unheard of that charges should be levied for work that has not been completed. I am extremely unhappy with the state of affairs and feel that a compromise should be reached for a refund of part of the funds paid.

Took my car to this company. Mechanic Gabbi Brombin. Charged me to do shocks, confirmed now they were never done. Paid R15k to have gearbox done. Confirmed now this was never done. Waited 9 months to have turbo fixed. Paid. Told millions of lies why it couldn't be fixed. Eventually had to remove car via flatbed to take to another mechanic to have fixed. Took 2 days to fix. Stay away from this conman!!! The worst of the worst!!!

Our volkswagen tiguan broke down in April. So we took it to G Tech Pro Auto after bad service from volkswagen rustenburg themselves. They ended up rebuilding the engine over 12 weeks. The work obviously came with a warranty. Within two months, the engine was making awful sounds, we took it back, they said it was the lifters and started a warranty claim on the suppliers. After waiting weeks for that, the car went into limp mode. So they towed it back to them. It has now been by them for seven weeks again, with no progress. We have paid for so much work and so many parts and nothing is fixed. After deciding to just call it quits and take it elsewhere, we are now struggling to get the car back from them. Every time we arrive at the garage to pick it up it is still in pieces. The car is actually driving, just noisy, so we keep expecting to drive it home and do not arrive with a tow truck. The owner's phone is always off and the people at the garage say they do not know what is happening. I can't believe they won't even give our car back! Really the worst service ever! We could get someone else to fix it if they would just give the car back!

The first time I waited two hours past the arranged time for Graham Solomon's to arrive. I paid him half as he still needed to bring an extra remote back. The second time I waited an hour for him. I paid him in full. A day later the motor stopped working. His number was off and he remained uncontactable. I traced him through Facebook and managed to get hold of his wife. I am still waiting for him to arrive. It is now 3pm and he was meant to be here an hour ago. He preferred cash payment and didn't give me any invoice. Don't use this service!

Long story short, after returning three times to them to get my vehicle fixed, i sat for two months without a vehicle. After an amount of nearly R8000 for repairs i fetched my car yesterday with half of the work still not done. I drove to my house and this morning when i tried to start the vehicle it didn't want to start. Fed up with this.
