Date of Visit: Friday, 24 October 2025 • I visited The Heat Grill in Woodlands, Pretoria, on 24 October 2025 to celebrate my birthday with my mother, daughter, and best friend. We ordered a bottle of Durbanville Sparkling Rosé. The waitress showed me the bottle on my request, as she mentioned it was sweet, which it is not. We decided to proceed with the order. • She took the bottle to the kitchen to open it and returned with it already opened, then poured full glasses for us. I politely explained that sparkling wine should be served ice-cold and opened at the table, and that glasses should not be filled to the brim. I thought the exchange ended amicably. • Shortly after, we ordered shots of Jägermeister. When the waitress and two others brought the shots, they appeared to be laughing as they served them. I drank my shot — and that is the last thing I remember. My daughter and friend remembers the Waitress saying “I’ve succeeded” • According to my daughter and friend, who were with me, I became disoriented, unresponsive, and eventually completely paralyzed before I could eat my meal. They initially thought I was intoxicated, but my condition worsened rapidly. The waitress later brought a wheelchair and assisted in taking me out of the restaurant. • I woke up in my bed eight hours later with complete memory loss. The following day, I went to Lancet Laboratories, where a urine drug test came back positive for opiates. I am on no medication and have never taken any form of drugs in my life. • This incident could have been life-threatening if I had any underlying medical condition or if I had been on medication. My daughter and friend both confirm that my pupils were dilated, my lips were blue, and my skin was cold and clammy — symptoms not consistent with alcohol consumption. • I am deeply disturbed and believe my drink was spiked. I am prepared to pay for a lie detector test for the Waitress named Julilee, and will be contacting a private investigator, such as Mike Bolhuis, to look into the matter, also requesting CCTV footage.
