Date of Visit: Friday, 24 October 2025 • I visited The Heat Grill in Woodlands, Pretoria, on 24 October 2025 to celebrate my birthday with my mother, daughter, and best friend. We ordered a bottle of Durbanville Sparkling Rosé. The waitress showed me the bottle on my request, as she mentioned it was sweet, which it is not. We decided to proceed with the order. • She took the bottle to the kitchen to open it and returned with it already opened, then poured full glasses for us. I politely explained that sparkling wine should be served ice-cold and opened at the table, and that glasses should not be filled to the brim. I thought the exchange ended amicably. • Shortly after, we ordered shots of Jägermeister. When the waitress and two others brought the shots, they appeared to be laughing as they served them. I drank my shot — and that is the last thing I remember. My daughter and friend remembers the Waitress saying “I’ve succeeded” • According to my daughter and friend, who were with me, I became disoriented, unresponsive, and eventually completely paralyzed before I could eat my meal. They initially thought I was intoxicated, but my condition worsened rapidly. The waitress later brought a wheelchair and assisted in taking me out of the restaurant. • I woke up in my bed eight hours later with complete memory loss. The following day, I went to Lancet Laboratories, where a urine drug test came back positive for opiates. I am on no medication and have never taken any form of drugs in my life. • This incident could have been life-threatening if I had any underlying medical condition or if I had been on medication. My daughter and friend both confirm that my pupils were dilated, my lips were blue, and my skin was cold and clammy — symptoms not consistent with alcohol consumption. • I am deeply disturbed and believe my drink was spiked. I am prepared to pay for a lie detector test for the Waitress named Julilee, and will be contacting a private investigator, such as Mike Bolhuis, to look into the matter, also requesting CCTV footage.
I visited The Blyde Riverwalk restaurant recently and had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered. I sent my friend to order two cups of coffee from the restaurant. What we received was nothing more than discolored water with no coffee taste whatsoever. It was so bad that I poured mine down the drain. I phoned the restaurant to ask why I was given such “coffee water,” and the person at the bar said he would send me a fresh cup. That never happened. When I went there myself, the manager was extremely rude, clearly lacking any customer service skills. He accused me of “always complaining” and imp**** I was lying. This is entirely untrue. I have never complained about coffee here before. I regularly bought coffee and pizzas at this restaurant without issue. They have cameras, so if I was a “regular complainer” as claimed, they should be able to prove it. I could not win the argument and eventually told them to F** off.. The service at The Blyde Riverwalk is clearly extremely poor, and except for the ladies in the shop, no one appears to have had proper customer service training. To be clear: I do not want a refund or a replacement coffee. I will never buy coffee there again, and I am sharing my experience so other customers and social media to be aware of how they treat paying guests.
We've been to Menlyn Maine Woolworths for breakfast and what a disappointment. I ordered flapjacks with mascarpone and figs, it came with a very thin layers of Mascarpone and I had to use my magnifying glass to find he figs, further no complaints. My daughter ordered the bagel with scrambled eggs etc. Her bagel was dry and stale and the eggs ice cold. We spoke to the manager, I asked him if they are on a budget and he was quite rude but refunded us for the bagel. What went wrong?, they used to have very high quality food, we loved their restaurants. The prices are up but the size and quality went down?

I order regularly from Uber Eats and I have had a very bad experience. Will never order from them again. The driver disappeared with my food and Uber Eats refuse to refund me! I have logged several complaints, not able to call anybody and I just received and email where they said they will not refund me! I lost my money! DO NOT USE UBER EATS, THEIR SERVICE IS BAD! The worst experience ever as a consumer, without any communication my electricity was disconnected on a sunday for an amount of -R2.46? Their app does not work, I have been trying to fund my wallet for the last week. I went away for the weekend and they decided to disconnect me! Very unprofessional company and I suspect they are discriminating against me. My account was never in arrears! Without any explanation why I was disconnected, I manages to pay via EFT R600 in advance with a promise that I will be connected immediately. Not happening, I am still without power. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY UTILITY MANAGEMENT!
The pleasant Silverlakes Stor-age team provides among the highest levels of customer service I have ever experienced. I immediately decided to transact only with this company after receiving accurate information and clear responses to queries. Hannelie went the extra mile at every stage! Don't google further, I recommend this company. Also, the prices are very reasonable! Thank You Hannelie!
My simple question to Tymebank; - "I am not receiving OTP's for checkers online transactions, I am receiving for all other online transactions, can you please check if an otp was sent to me?" In a nutshell, I have made more than 10 calls to Tymebank, they have admitted on truecaller recording more that 6 times that the OTP was never sent from Tymebank. All the call centre assistants cannot tell me WHY? They refer me to Vodacom and to Checkers and in 10 phonecalls with more than R200 airtime wasted they cannot understand the simple question! WHY did you not sent me the OTP! What is wrong with this picture, am I speaking to robots that can only read scripts and have no clue about what the question was! Today after 10 calls R200 airtime wasted and after 7 days they are not able to help me! I am still not receiving OTP's for checkers! This is the worst experience of incompetence that I have ever seen in my lifetime! PLEASE PEOPLE THINK BEFORE OPENING A TYME BANK ACCOUNT! (Karien Hollister 079 7882444)
This is to lodge a formal complaint against SAifleet. They advertise on their website R2500 for referrals. I called them, met with Mr Dean Mokone, sales agent for them and signed a service level agreement. They also asked me to submit my FICA documents. I then recruited 3 clients, the first 2 clients cancelled because they were quoted more than R10 000 less than what they were asked to pay for the vehicle. Mr Mokone did not explain the hidden costs. The third client however signed the contract and paid and took possession of the vehicle ON 12 November. Thus according to all laws, they owe me R2500. Apparently their policy is to use spotters but not to pay them. I would like to prevent this behaviour to stop in order to protect future innocent spotters. They also scam the clients by false advertising, on the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/saifleet/posts/2418101715070122?comment_id=2418165171730443 they advertise R1995 deposit but after the client applied and is ready to pay, this is the real scenario "2k,plus 1×month rental(advance)/Smash n Grab/Tracker/On the Road Fee/Legal Docs/Additional driver etc,all those extras push the expected Deposit to be 20k" Thus R18 000 more than quoted!
