Do not do business with this company!
Herman Steyn from High Cell Solar Solutions removed our faulty battery from our house to claim a replacement. When our new battery arrived at the supplier Herman proceeded to collect the battery and instal it at one of his other customers houses. He refuses to refund us for our battery, claims he has no money and his bank accounts are frozen. His is doing business under Skyvolt Solar Solutions now, doing the same thing to unsuspecting customers. Stay far away from Herman Steyn and any of his solar companies.

Herman Steyn from High Cell Solar Solutions removed our faulty battery from our house to claim a replacement. Consumer warning!
Stay aware from this business. Same as other 2 reviews. Our batteries were collected for fixing around Mar'25. Up to now still not back with us. Herman Steyn keeps on telling us lies. Today we hear it was fixed 4 months ago and installed by someone else. He does not have money to replace it. What now!

Avoid High Cell Solar Solutions/Herman Steyn - Failed to payback Deposit money
As per the other complainant, back in June 2024 I paid a 70% deposit to Herman Steyn of Highveld Solar Solutions. To cut a long story short, after repeated excuses and a letter of demand, of the installation only the solar panels were supp**** and installed Nov 2024, Herman then kept the rest the deposit, +/- R70k. I've handed him over to a debt collection company. Please contact me if you would like further information.

Avoid High Cell Solar Solutions/Herman Steyn - Failed to payback Deposit money
As per the other complainant, back in June 2024 I paid a 70% deposit to Herman Steyn of Highveld Solar Solutions. To cut a long story short, after repeated excuses and a letter of demand, of the installation only the solar panels were supp**** and installed Nov 2024, Herman then kept the rest the deposit, +/- R70k. I've handed him over to a debt collection company. Please contact me if you would like further information.

Warning : Avoid High Cell Solar Solutions
I would warn this company's potential customers to avoid this company at all costs. They took a deposit from us for two solar installations well over a year ago, it probably took 9 months for them to do the first and to date they have not returned to do the second. We received a letter from attorneys who said they represented High Cell Solar Solutions. The attorney's gave us two options either High Cell Solar Solutions complete the installation or return the deposit. we selected the latter. Now we find out that the attorney's no longer represent High Cell Solar Solutions and we have not had the deposit returned. These guys are clearly not to be trusted. I suspect that they operate like a pyramid scheme, rolling deposits to cover previous promises and not honoring others.

System STILL NOT completed, more than 6 weeks late
System STILL NOT completed. I paid 70% deposit on the same date I signed the quote. Keep in mind that we went for an off-grid system (not even opening an Eskom account). The list of excuses carry on and on and on, moving on the completion date. Our installation should have been done more than 6 weeks ago. This is ridiculous!
