I contacted Izan Dippenaar, principal of Homenet Estates, to list my house. Mr. Dippenaar gave me a valuation for the property. I was shocked because of the low value. He assured me that it was market value and it was all the property was worth. Within four (4) days, Mr. Dippenaar sent his agent, Paula, to my house with two signed contracts (Offers to Purchase). I told the agent that I need R15 000 more. Both parties immediately agreed to offer an extra R15 000. The agent then told me to accept the second offer which Mr. Dippenaar’s tenant made. The dates on the contracts showed that the tenant’s offer was the second offer. I told the agent that I think it would be unfair to the person who made an offer first, since both offered the same amount. She said that she can assure me that it is fair, because Mr. Dippenaar “was working with a plan”. I signed the contract, but the purchase price and commission was blank. I was told by the agent that the reason for this was that Mr. Dippenaar had to negotiate the commission, but I do not have to worry about that as I received the value of my property as well as an extra R15 000. Mr. Dippenaar accompanied one of the bank evaluators to my house. While the evaluator was busy, Mr. Dippenaar told me that Standard Bank has already approved the loan. I told Mr. Dippenaar that there must be a mistake, as Standard Bank has not send an evaluator to the property. Mr. Dippenaar then told me that it was not necessary, as he has an arrangement with Standard Bank. When I received a copy of the contract with all the information, I realised that the selling price for the property, included the buyer’s transfer fees, as well as full commission for Homenet Estates. Unfortunately, I signed the contract without all the information, and it will be impossible for me to prove differently. It means that my property was worth much more, at least the amount which included the transfer fees. The fact that the property was sold to two parties within four days, without being advertised, further strengthen my belief, as well as the fact that Standard Bank had no problem approving this amount, without even seeing the property. Therefore, this means that I paid the transfer fees of Mr. Dippenaar’s tenant. When I tried to discuss this with Mr. Dippenaar, his answer was: “Discuss it with my lawyer.” He then turned around and walked away. As I am deaf, I had a witness present to help me communicate, and therefore the witness can also testify to all stated facts. I do not have words to describe my feelings of anger and helplessness against this injustice. All that I can do is to report this to South African consumers and try to prevent this from happening again.

I'm honestly stunned by the discussing treatment my spouse & I received from the racist staff of homenet springs office in fourth street. We arrived at their offices looking for a place to rent, only to be refused entry due to skin colour under the guise of pandemic regulations. It's amazing that after some 20 odd years of democracy there are those who are as backward as the staff of the homenet office in springs. Shame on you guys👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

Phoned Homenet Springs to get our property listed to try and sell, with the intention of purchasing a new house from the same agents. We also believe in having just one estate agent that tries and sell the house. I am utterly disgusted with the lack of care and attention we received from Homenet in Springs. I phoned on multiple times to try and get Izan to phone us, even if its just to confirm a time and date when we can expect a call from him, but nothing. What type of business doesnt get back to prospective clients? Do we need to beg them? Fine! Ill take my business elsewhere.

HOMENET SPRINGS. I have never dealt with any company that is so evasive. First of all before you can view a house, you must submit an application. So now, you must apply for something, that you have not seen, I mean seriously, the house could be a disaster inside. And even after doing the application, you still don't get to view. One story after the other. and hiding behind covid19, as an excuse for their terrible, unprofessional service. Your application every time you phone is going to the manager, a week later its still on its journey to the manager, by now I am thinking this manager must live on an island, where there is no communication, and mail arrives once a month maybe. Now you want to view this house you have applied for, but not even allowed to see. So the excuse COVID19. and another excuse cant get hold of current tenant. WHAT, what do you have an agent for if they do not have control of your rental. And than big stories why you cant view, and then eventually they say that the owner has taken the house off the market. Personally they probably gave it to a more gullible person who was desperate and prepared to put up with their bad service. Let me tell you my impression.. its a terrible agency to deal with. Compared to the current agent I deal with this Homenet Springs, should take some tips from them. and i see a lot of bad reviews, so yes, i do believe that they operate in a very unprofessional way. obviously CUSTOMER means nothing to them. I don't often write reviews, but this one, I just had to. People, you are in for a hard time if you want to deal with HOMENET SPRINGS

<div>Most probably one the worst agencies to deal with. When phoning they put the phone down in your ear and when phoning again they say that you can only contact them during office hours. I have no problem with office hours. However, when you request information from them they are very rude and emails are not very professional. It is obvious that they do not need to get extra business as they are not very willing to assist.</div>

Last week I called Margaret concerning a house advertised by property 24 I received an email that the house was available and it was a new advert ,I made an appointment with her for Friday at 10:00am but I waited until I called her and she promised me another one lateron Friday which never took place .I then called her again she made another appointment for Saturday at 2pm which never took place again. I wasted my time and money. What's worse is that most of the houses that are advertised by homenet are sold long time or offer pending. I think this is unfair to us who are looking for houses, we are wasting our time ,money and energy.
