Beware of Manager

Everything was great, except for the advice.

My partner and I went there for out 3 year anniversary. We were happy to be there, the atmosphere was great.

Carefully we elected not to pay an additional amount of approx R800 each (R1600) for a wine paring to pair with our 5 course meals.

We notified the server that we did not want to get the wine pairing in addition to the 5 course meal because of the price.

The manager arrived and he was advised about price sensitivity.

We were advised to get a bottle of wine instead of the pairing (fyi wine starts at approx. R400.00) that we requested to be paired our food generally because we did not want to spend a further R1600.00 but wanted the closest experience.

The server invited the manager to provide guidance, and he knew the instructions. I notified him that we did not want to pay for the paring based on the cost.

He advised on a bottle (which was a great pairing), and when the bill came the bottle of wine cost R1700.00.

We were basically ****** of an experience to pair food with the ideal wine because the manager failed to take instructions.

My partner and I left there left feeling cheated.

After a great evening to have a bitter taste in our mouths kind of ruined our anniversary.
