I took my Professional cylindrical lawn mower to Honeydew Lawnmowers for a full-service mid November 2025. All I wanted was a full service on a lawnmower from a lawnmower shop that “services lawnmowers”. A week after the time frame I was given for it to be serviced, I called to find out when the service would be completed, only to get told – oh didn’t someone call you, it’s been ready for a week. Besides a new spark plug being fitted and a throttle cable, nothing was done! I took photo's of old oil, leaking petrol filler gap, dirty air filter, with old grass still in it, chains that had never been cleaned let alone greased, grease nipples that had never been greased and blades you could see had never been sharped. I was charged R2060.70 for a spark plug and throttle cable.

Buyer Beware:** Think twice before purchasing from this company. We bought a Stiga ride-on lawnmower from them, and every time it was serviced, it came back with **new problems**. After the final repair, they broke the ignition and cracked the blade housing cover. When I reported the damage, they admitted fault and promised a fix—but it took **a year** of chasing them just to get the owner’s attention. The salesperson finally agreed to "sort it," but when I asked for a repair timeline (since we mow weekly), they snapped: *"Do you want it fixed or not?"* No apologies, no urgency, **zero customer care**. Steer clear of this business—they don’t value their customers.

Absolutely disgusting! In the 10+ years that I have been taking my machines to this place my last experience was disgusting! The floor staff are so self entitled it's disgusting! Peter the so called manager also thinks he is doing everyone a favour! I took my machine in for a service last year just before winter to take care of fire breaks. They wrecked my machine so badly and tried to blame me for it. It took them the entire winter to sort out my machine. This fire season I try and use it and the spark plug has been completely stripped. Communication is disgusting but they are all full of promises. 1 more day, always one more day and never any feed back. Peter gets all offended when I said honeydew lawnmowers are F@#king me around and thinks they are going to get out of fixing my machines. Between Nkosi & Peter it has been nothing but disgusting service! I would rather buy a new machine than take anything to Honeydew Lawnmowers again!

This is a racist company against black clients period! The white sales people are very rude, condescending and impatient in their attitude. I was especially very disappointed today when these two guys tried to shut me up from voicing my concerns. Clients shouldn't feel unwelcome and should be treated the same despite their race etc . South Africa has no place for such bigotry and backward thinking. Honeydew Lawnmowers, you should know better...please teach your Representatives the right culture.

Absolutely awesome service and attitude. I brought in a chainsaw chain bought elsewhere that was too long. The gentleman serving me had it cut, measured ad joined in minutes. He then gave it back to me neatly boxed with a cheerful smile and no charge! Very rare these days. Thank you! I've forgotten his name - a large man with an Afrikaans surname.

They happily took my lawmmower in for a service quote...14 days later still no feedback or quote. Call them few times...best they can advise is the repare guys will call in a day or two...many days later nothing

Purchased a Stihl chain saw - dealt with Gert Roos. Great experience - so helpful and willing to assist. Gave me some lessons in how to use the chainsaw which were a big help in getting started. Nothing was too much trouble for Gert. All in all a truly wonderful experience dealing with Honeydew Lawnmowers. Highly recommended.

Worst experience ever!!! I took my generator to these cowboys and they would not call me back even when I followed up with them. Eventually had to go there after 4 weeks for them to tell me that they were not able to fix diesel generators. Worst service for a small owner managed business, I expected better.
