Worst client service received. My parcel has now been lost for 148 days to which IC-Express admits that they lost the parcel and cannot track it. They refunded the shipment only after 148 days. The parcel was not insured but according to the CGSO that section 51 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) limits a supplier from deliberately contracting out of these types of claims, where they refuse to refund a parcel when it is not insured. Section 65(2) When a supplier has possession of any prepayment, deposit, membership fee, or other money, or any other property belonging to or ordinarily under the control of a consumer, the supplier – … (b) in the handling, safeguarding and utilisation of that property, must exercise the degree of care, diligence and skill that can reasonably be expected of a person responsible for managing any property belonging to another person; and (c) is liable to the owner of the property for any loss resulting from a failure to comply with paragraph (a). A supplier can therefore not contract out of the CPA and can therefore not have terms and conditions which restricts a consumer’s right in terms of the CPA. It is then only a question of whether the supplier exercised the degree of care, diligence and skill that can reasonably be expected of a person in the circumstances. Therefore, the supplier is liable for any loss resulting from a failure to take proper care of a consumer’s property while in their possession, regardless of the supplier’s terms and conditions Before they refunded the shipment I was asked to remove the Hello Peter post but... Shocking, I am not sure how a courier company like this actually exists! Parcel is lost for 8 days and it is a very big box Instead we got some poor person's tax returns instead They dont bother to phone me and let me know what is going on I keep phoning them and they say they cant find the big box. They must be a very chaotic place if after 8 days they still cant track my parcel DONT USE THEM!!

I couriered a package to Cape - town, that was meant to take two days to arrive, I did this on a Wednesday.<br> <br> When the receiver contacted IC express they told him the package will only arrive on Monday, so he wanted to cancel the delivery which I then did and reimbursed him for the payment he had made for the goods.<br> <br> Only to my horror to find that they did end up delivering the package on the Friday (I had now already paid the gentlemen back)<br> <br> They then collected the package from him which was great, now I could only afford to courier it back to myself after I have been paid, so they have slapped me with storage fees as of R1140.00 plus the R120 to send it back to me.<br> <br> So something that was meant to cost me R120.00 has lost me a thousand rand due to messing up the shipment arrival date - another R240.00 to courier back and forth, plus R1140 to store my goods.<br> <br> To make matters worse, my company and I are regular users of the company, which of course will no longer be the case.<br> <br>
