Morning...I worked for RBP mines in Rustenburg for more than 3 years which was recently bought by Impala Platinum Mines(Rustenburg). I didn't receive my Ui19 Salary schedule nor my letter of Confirmation when I left. I recently try to get in touch with the Hr department, Payroll department on the specific Mine(Steyldrift) where I worked but they just gave me the run around. I tried Impale Platinum but the phones just kept ringing with no joy. When I eventually did get through I just got transferred from the One person to another till the line eventually just went dead. I honestly don't know what todo anymore because I don't live in Rustenburg anymore. I tried phoning Impala head office in JHB but they just directed me back to their office in Rustenburg. According to the labor law I am entitled to receive those documents but it seems no one wants to help me at Impala Platinum. I'm hoping Hellopeter could intervene and assist me with this. But till then I think Impala as a company deserve less than one star for not looking after previous employees and following the labor law as prescribed. SJPretorius

We where recruited by DEMA production by the guy called William Khumalo aka Mmeleke. We did a health and safety show. He did not pay us for rehearsal we slept at his backroom for three days and he promise to pay us at least R2500 per show. We did more than one show to different mines and he paid me R1500 when I ask him about my balance he says he has only R1500 because his crew has many people. I have done this kind of production and I know how they operate even that R2500 is to small for this kind of production. This is exploitation of artist

Every year there is a fatality at one of it's shafts Styldrift mine and from one section under one manager. This has been happening for 4 consecutive years and management is turning a blind eye on this because they think that section manager is doing a good job. Recently there was an incident which was supposed to be reported to the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) according to the laws of the land but that incident was never reported because that manager gave an instruction for the incident not to be reported. The incident almost got people killed again this year in April. There is a machine number DV02 which caught fire and affected employees in the whole south section who inhaled a lot of smoke. Now some people complain about chest problems but if one raises health and safety concerns in that section the manager will chase you away or get you fired. The DMRE Law says if there is a fire incident at any workings underground, it must be reported to control of that mine and to the DMRE for investigations but at Impala it's not happening. My request is for you to assist us by conducting the CEO of Impala and enquire why the incident was not reported because people are sick now due to that fire incident. Here are the details of the fire incident Date of fire = 1 April 2024 Machine on Fire = DV02 Section 123 Other Facts # Control was not informed # DMRE was not informed # Health & Safety Department was not informed # An instruction was issued not to report the fire incident from the manager # Engineering Supervision didn't go to the scene of the incident. # Stakeholders ( Manager of the section, TMM Supervision, Operator of machine, Miner, Shift BOSS, Artisans, Crew members of Section 123. All these people were affected and can attest to this. We are available for more information if needed. Please channel this case to Impala Head Office and the DMRE Head Office otherwise everything can be suppressed. The main worry is people are sick but they can't complain for fear of victimization. I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon. I'm willing to sit with the Impala CEO or DMRE and explain this case. Regards Sim

its been thus far a terrible journey for me and my wife with impala platinum mine. my wife is been expecting her inheritance from her late brother who used to work at impala platinum mine in rustenburg. she has been sent from pillar to post with every road she embarks on hitting a dead end. she is now starting to throw away the towel. we sometimes get messages from cellphone numbers telling us that they are sorry for the delay of payment, with some messages unofficial and unprofessional from this particular mine. they dont communicate with beneficiaries who are going through a tough time having lost a loved one yet deal with such bogus behavior.
