I had a terrible experience at the iStore, Sandton City. I went there for a cellphone upgrade, and because I knew it was an early upgrade i knew that there will be a pay in, I also know which phone I wanted as well as the colour. The consultant asked me 3 times am I sure I want to upgrade because the pay in amount was alot. I said yes, hence the fact that I also wanted to do a trade-in. You know you need an eSim right? To which I rep**** yes, this is the 3rd time I've been here so I am sure. We will not be doing a transfer of data because it will take too long. You can do the trade-in closer to where you stay or at any Istore. But this one is convenient because it is close to my work I answered. He disappeared, probably to get the phone because he had it when he came back. Didn't even ask me what memory size I would like, just gave me the phone in the colour I had requested. Assisting a different client in between because I guessed he had helped the client before I was there but the person came back again. I found him to be arrogant and unfriendly, treated me more like a nuisance.

Very dissatisfied. Poor customer service, not willing to help or if asked for help, customer service doesn’t seem to be a priority and it feels likes you do them a favor rather than them assisting you. Product stock availability manipulation as iStore application says stock availability at a Sandton City yet if you go there, they don’t have stock. You never know when stock is available as the iStore application is incorrect. As a client facing customer, this is not how you welcome your customer from the moment you walk into the store. Much better experience at iStore Sandton Drive.

Very dissatisfied. Poor customer service, not willing to help or if asked for help, customer service doesn’t seem to be a priority and it feels likes you do them a favor rather than them assisting you. Product stock availability manipulation as iStore application says stock availability at a Sandton City yet if you go there, they don’t have stock. You never know when stock is available as the iStore application is incorrect. As a client facing customer, this is not how you welcome your customer from the moment you walk into the store. Much better experience at iStore Sandton Drive.

I paid in full and was left completely in the dark — again. This is not the first time this has happened with iStore Sandton. No responses, no updates, no callbacks. I’ve followed up with Thabi, Mandla, and the Sandton managers, and still cannot get a simple confirmation of my payment or any clarity on my order. This level of service is shocking and unprofessional. The experience is consistently frustrating and extremely disappointing.

I'd really like to give a special compliment to the Bheki at the branch in Sandton city who helped us with our contract upgrade at the store a week ago. He showed such incredible patience and professionalism throughout the whole process. The process took longer than expected but He went above and beyond to make sure we walked out with the phone, and we truly appreciate the care and effort he put into helping us. Thank you for making the experience smooth, comfortable, and genuinely pleasant - it really meant a lot.

Istore at 1 Sandton Drive sold me a "new" device , iPhone 13, at a promotional price. On unboxing the device was visibly used, with scratches on the screen but the shop refuses to take responsibility and say i shouldve unboxed it in the shop to prove the condition. this was for a brand new device, and they clearly know it has been swopped for a used one, the promotion is false,

I have just received the worst customer service from Sandton city Istore because of classism. I walked into Istore on a Tuesday afternoon requesting a contract. I disclosed to the consultant Neo Kgotlagomang that I had just been to the Telkom Store and I opened two new Data lines for SIM cards and the consultant assured me that indeed it will not affect me as long as it was below the R1900 and guess what it did affect me in the worst way possible. So he completed the application and Telkom approved he also showed his manager the application who also gave him the green flag. As he went to fetch the device the compliance team instructed Neo that they wont give him the device as I have two other lines that I app**** for the very same day which I disclosed to him. According to istore this looked like a *****ulent action. Now I feel like I was being discriminated on because I’m a black woman, but that’s not the case. And then they did the worst thing ever they cancelled the contract without my permission *****ing me further by affecting my credit score negatively. I called Telkom and they told me there are no reasons why as to my contract was cancelled, now they are even ashamed to disclose their shameful act towards me. I feel *****ed over for real
