Natalie's demeanor was quite disgusting, make sure to ask for quotes, this place gives you bad attitude when asking for quotes as well as have a very rude demeanour when asking genuine questions, overly priced and hidden costs, beware and use caution if dealing with this business, they try and intimidate people into not asking further questions by being rude, when wanting to make a call to confirm if the person who is going to pay is happy with the amount they also threaten to go to other patients and leave you then come back, absolutely disgusting.

My experience at Ixia with my very sick cat has been amazing. Dr Bosman is a miracle worker. She operated on my cat with a huge heart problem that no-one thought could be operated on and with the love and care at the practice she pulled through and is doing well. Every member of staff at the practice has been unbelievably kind and have dealt with my million telephone calls, tears and tantrums so amazingly. They made me feel like family and my cat like a queen. Nothing was too much trouble.

I used to take my pets to Natalie (Ixia Street Animal Hosp) when I lived in the area over 11 years ago. Since moving away, I have used various vets, and they have all been good - but not quite Natalie .. especially when it comes to cats. Well, my darling 13-year old cat Micky, is not well. Normally I would take my pets to a local vet, but Micky is special to me . While all my furry babies are special, Micky is the favourite kid. So we decided that he needed the best, and schlepped all the way to Ixia Street Animal Hospital. I had today read some negative reviews on HelloPeter about Ixia Street AH, so I was somewhat worried that things may have changed in the 11 years since we had been there. Well, Dr Natalie was just as we remembered her! Her loving and caring attitude towards Micky had him won over in no time at all (no mean feat I tell you). Well, I had to leave my darling Micky there overnight, and come all the way home. I had asked if the accommodation for the cats was warm and comfy, and as we were walking out the door, Dr Natalie came out and asked if I wanted to see where Micky would be sleeping. It was warm and comfy, and I so SO appreciate her being so thoughtful. It is now 19h00, and Natalie just called - yes, she is still working. I was not expecting good news, and while the news is not really bad yet, I have a sneaky suspicion this story is not going to have a good ending. Micky I believe has cancer - but I still hope not. Anyhow, I appreciate the extra mile that Dr Natalie Bosman and Ixia Street Animal Hospital have gone to make me feel .. no, KNOW that my Micky is being taken care of. Despite the bad news I think may be coming, Dr Bosman is the ROCK star of Kitty-Vets!

the vets in this practise are heartless, and dont allow customers to show concern or ask questions without them backing out of a simple surgery like teeth removal.

Some people animals are like their children not just dogs!

I showed concern with leaving a small anxious pomeranian overnight where he had no care(doctors and assistants leave at 8pm nobody is there after 8pm). the vet turned around and refused to do the surgery once he was dropped off and booked in.

Show some care when an owner expresses concern for the pet, thats all!!! customers are allowed to ask questions surely?

Glad our pomeranian is out of there!!!!

Dear Mrs Nelson

As per my conversation with Mr Nelson this afternoon, I would like to repeat my sincerest apologies for your experience on the 27th April at this hospital.

As I explained to Mr Nelson, had I been aware of these events I would have addressed it immediately - I am glad to have to opportunity, nonetheless, to address it now.

Our hospital has a strong policy for circumstances such as these and I regret that our policies were not applied in your case and I would like to remedy this error.
According to our policy, you would not have been considered remotely liable for any cost and, given the circumstances of the gentleman who owned her, we would have rendered our services at no cost to assist 'Lady'.

The fact that you stopped and picked Lady and her owner up and brought them for assistance is a deeply kind and compassionate act. You are not, however, liable for costs.

I discussed with Mr Nelson that I would email you to request your banking details so that I may return your full payment to you via eft, should this be suitable for you?
If you would prefer a refund by any other means I would happily oblige, but I am sure an eft is the most efficient method.

On our way home we were traveling next to an S.U.V towards robot when he slammed on his brakes,i felt a hit and upon looking back saw a dog tumbling,i stopped to see what we can do, when a homeless person came walking up to us and told us it is his dog,we asked him where is the nearest animal hospital and he said we must go to the horse stables, they referred us to Ixia street . got there, spoke to the Dr. he wanted thousands to do xrays and more, they phoned SPCA and AAC who both said sorry they cant help they are closing, at the end decided because we don't have money to have the dog euthanized as i drove over her and did not know the extend of her injuries, being good people we said that we will pay for the injection,we ended up paying R1120. i feel that it is so unfair, that after we told the dr that we dont have money and it was'nt our fault,it was an accident.what would of happened if we drove off,or just left the homeless man there with the dog,we were in such shock that we paid with our credit card but, i am sorry i want my money back, how am i going to survive the month, we were being humane as we are both animal lovers and wanted to help the dog out of his pain.
,
