Bad experience with Michael Makole at Jaguar landrover Sandton. July 2021 i bought a car from Michael. A week of getting the car i had to return it because the spare wheel rim was faulty, then immediately notified some chipping on the front tyre. This is after getting it and supposedly thorough checks were done but missed those important things. Then later i noticed that the front sensing camera was loose and returned the car to them to fix. I then reported some chipping on the roof wrap and he organised a repair they have on contract which i have been waiting to come fix the issues for over 2months with no avail. I have now contacted Michael Makole and i have been received by utter ****iness from him, he has told me he is a specialist and they cannot help me. They can either remove the whole wrap or i will have to pay for it as it is an accessory, which ny the way i bought it as is and that extra has been built in the cost. I know this because the car i traded in i had paid for colored leather seats.as well as panoramic sunroof and know for a fact the next buyer has paid for those somewhere in the cost and needs to get them in good condition. With the whole host of other problems i have had since i bought the car and the condescending behaviour from Michael Makole in his responses to me. I would not recommend the dealershop to anyone. On the 8 July I purchased a 2017 Jaguar on Autotrader from the Jaguar Sandton branch. Little did I know, my excitement on receiving a new vehicle, was soon to be marred in disappointment. On the very next day, I reported that my rear mud flaps are torn to the Jaguar Sandton branch. After a reminder to the dealer, arrangements were made for replacement on the 19 July at the Jaguar EL branch. Before my appointment, I experienced a vibration on my steering wheel after braking suddenly. I also discovered that my rear brake light was not working. On assessment of the vehicle on the 19th, ,the following faults were found by the Jaguar EL branch: a defective brake light (which will be replaced due to the warranty), dents, scratches and paint chips on the body, buckled wheel mags x3!, and a scratched and previously repaired windscreen. The Jaguar EL branch was most helpful and provided me with the fault report. On reporting all the faults to the Jaguar Sandton branch, their response was most shocking. According to them, they will be fixing my rims as a gesture of goodwill as there is no proof where the damage occurred. On having the wheel mags assessed at a specialist, it was found that the wheels were previously repaired and resprayed. I have a report from the specialist to prove this. As for the dents and scratches, the same story applies. I have no proof and they will not fix it as I should have seen this on taking delivery. How was I to see damages underneath the bumper and the small scratches and dents around the entire car. It takes an experienced eye to detect a dent. How was I to see a defective rear brake light and torn mud flaps and buckled wheel rims?? Yes, I happily took the car. Never in a million years would I have thought that I needed to inspect a car with a fine tooth comb, from a reputable car dealership like Jaguar! How was this car even inspected? How does a car leave the floor in this condition??? I will however be having the body damaged assessed by a professional and I will most certainly be taking the matter further. I am in disbelief that my integrity is being blatantly questioned and that my intelligence is being insulted! Jaguar Sandton, I am disappointed, aggrieved, and totally disgusted at the treatment I have received. Since then, I have been anxious, disillusioned and utterly depressed. What should be the most exciting time, has turned into an absolute nightmare. I should be enjoying a beautiful car, and all I am experiencing is regret! I expected more! Totally disgusted! If there is anybody that can assist me, please feel free to do so! Anneline Deidre

Last year I purchased a vechile from Jaguar Bryanston with Brendon as the dealer. Firstly they sold me a vechile with an expired license disk. Then they billed me to replace the disk. Secondly a spare key was to be given to me which I still haven’t received to date. This after I let Brendon know that I lost my key. He did not even bother to send me a response. As this is a luxury vechile brand I expected much better service and must add that I have received way better service from Audi Hatfield after purchasing an entry level A1. Greatly disappointed after purchasing my dream car.

Purchased a used silver 2014 F Type R coupe on the 11th of December 2019. On the 22nd of December, 11 days after taking delivery, the climate control, sat nav, INDICATORS, windows, blind spot warning and cameras all failed while driving on the N2 from Gordon’s Bay into Cape Town, right by the township! Sent it into Jaguar Stellenbosch who gave us a print out showing the car had previously been in for the exact same fault 6 times before and on one occasion the previous owner complained the whole car had cut out entirely! Asked Jaguar in Sandton for a FULL REFUND which they’ve refused. Zak Niemann the “manager” a 20 something year old snot kop started by saying they were allowed to repair the vehicle under CPA regulations, which is FALSE! In fact the regulations state that we can request a full refund if we can prove the vehicle had a major defect, which from the previous history print out, we clearly have! He went on to say they’d be happy to pay for car hire for 5 days up to R300 per day. Yes you read that correctly, R300/day. So We’re supposed to go from driving a car that costs almost a million rand to riding a horse? Because the last time I checked you can’t hire anything for R300/day let alone an F Type R 5.0 V8 which is R9200/day from Avis! I have emailed the CEO Ricky Hartog of the entire SMH group to resolve the issue by collecting their vehicle from Jaguar Stellenbosch and refunding us for the full purchase price. Failing that the ombudsman will need to get involved. I’ve posted this so that anyone even considering buying a new or used vehicle from these cowboys can see first hand exactly the type of bull**** they try and pull! This is not to mention Etienne Toet failing to reply to our email after 3 days! Or Jan Lubbe, saying we weren’t supposed to be privy to the vehicles history! Sitting at home for 10 days without transport while they **** us around!
