I recently dealt with Jetpets and unfortunately my experience was not very good. The process felt a bit unorganized and communication was slower than I expected. I had to follow up a few times just to get proper updates. For something as important as transporting pets, you would expect clear communication and a smoother process. It just felt like things could have been handled better. Hopefully they can improve their service in the future because the concept is good, but the overall experience left me a bit disappointed.

I will list the facts of my experience and you can decide whether this is a company you would like to deal with. I most certainly would NEVER recommend it. My almost 9year old snub nosed dog took 9 days from collection outside of CT, RSA to LON, UK. Due to cost, I chose to fly him Lufthansa via Frankfurt. 1. Dog was stuck in Frankfurt for48 hours due to missing documentation. This was not the only missing documentation, as they needed replacement of my ToR and POP. 2. Of course there were last minute increases! They want you to start the process months in advance, where in reality they only actually do anything 2 weeks prior, it feels as if for the sole purpose of overcharging (I notice that many companies do this and there should be an oversight committee to regulate this) So in reality it cost R67000 instead of R54000. 3. I went 3 days with no communication to let me know my dog was OK. I had to constantly initiate communication, as they either did not communicate, or only in response to my constant messages. Obviously this caused HUGE amounts of stress for a) my dog who finally arrived, very anxious, scratching himself raw, however in 1 piece. b) myself and my 82 year old mother collecting him, as I only arrive in several months. You decide...would you use this company?

This company is ridiculous. I had to cancel a return portion of a pet in few months in advance and needed to book the cat in cabin. I had to pay in full from the start for the return of the cat. I cancelled, was given a estimated amount for the refund. I started being told their systems are down, then they are moving servers, then O sorry we did a name change but not to worry as we will def get our refund. It is now almost a year later. After what feels like 50 0000 calls and multiple emails and follow ups. After being ghosted I kept being persistent and managed to finally speak with Sharon, the owner / branch manager of their Cape Town branch. Then just received a email about it's been send to the higher accounts department. NO contact details ever given, no email addresses, no response and I am personally out of pocket of more than R77 000. Now finding out they are liquidated. This is absolutely unacceptable. No responsibility ... just took our money and not even a lets help you try and get the money back. I can not accept this.

My plans did not work out to move to the UK, and I already paid a deposit for my dogs relocation. Also quote changed drastically on very short notice. Needless to say, plans got cancelled and I requested a refund - which took a long while and several emails later to calculate. Filled in the refund form - it's been way over 21 days and still no refund. Basically over 44 days now. Please be aware of a very long delay in getting a refund. Refunds takes 21 days - which turns out to not be the case, numerous calls later, with no or very poor feedback and delays and delays and delays.

A put-together team. They offered the absolute best price compared to all the companies in South Africa (trust me, I checked). They were very quick to respond and they allowed me to customize the experience so that it would fit me and my doggo. Day of they fetched her on time, I didn't hear much after that- but that was to be assumed. Once she landed we had a few things to clear her this side but overall they did a fantastic job and were very quick to respond too. They can phone, email, and WhatsApp so no matter what type of communication you prefer they seem to have you covered. I definitely would fly my pets with them again if ever I need to again <3

Communication was fast and precise. JetPet has a very professional approach and, although we ended up not flying out cat, I would definitely recommend them. Louise was on the ball!!

I started my moving process with Tyra even though I'm only moving next year , she has been nothing but friendly and super informative . I have no worries , concerns nada as she has been very detail orientated with how she's taking care of my dog .
