JoJo Tanks sells tanks where the water inlet fitting has no retaining ring or nut on the inside. The fitting simply plugs into a hole in the tank. That’s it. No mechanical lock. Nothing securing it in place. It’s like putting a bolt through a hole without a nut and hoping for the best. I assumed mine was defective, so I checked multiple retailers. Every single tank was the same. The top inlet pipe pushes into a fitting that just sits in the hole. There is absolutely nothing preventing it from pulling straight back out. I tried to make it work by gluing the fitting from the inside. Eventually it failed, pulled out, and my inlet dumped thousands of litres of water. Completely avoidable. When I contacted JoJo, the response was frankly ridiculous — claiming the design is “to help installers.” That explanation makes no technical sense. A fitting that can fall out under normal conditions is not an improvement. After I challenged the explanation, I was ignored. Even the sales staff at Chamberlains acknowledged the problem. They said they sell generic retaining rings because so many customers complain about this exact issue — they were just out of stock at the time. Releasing a product with such an obvious design flaw is inexcusable. Save yourself the frustration, the water loss, and the unnecessary workaround. Buy a competing product that uses a properly secured fitting

We had a problem with our water tank and contacted them online. Their representative, Henri Conradie, contacted us. He was very professional and sorted out the problem within a few days. JoJo Tanks take their guarantee seriously, and we appreciate it. Pierre and Riana Joubert

email from Hello Peter re my review on JoJ0 tanks: "We’ve noticed they haven’t responded." This is typical of the service from JoJo Tanks, they do not reply at all on emails regarding their absolute poor service. I am not interested to do any more purchases from them, anyway

I just do not learn the lesson. If a company cannot, no, will not, deliver product assistance on a sale, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!! I had to buy a new subscription at R499-00 to have app access, and been trying since 12 December to do so. No reaction on emails, impossible to log into site, and if I do manage to login into my basket, a no-go.

I bought a jojo tank from a local hardware unfortunately it was an africa tank. On the same day i bought it. It collapsed on itself i then went back to the hardware to complain and they refered to me to the useless representatives of Africa tanks which were not of assistance i had to incurs costs to repair the tank which is under warranty and still has a guarantee. Such ****ery if i could i would request my refund and buy a different brand.

I installed a Jojo tank with a Jojo 0.75kW VSD pump in 2023 which cost R6000 at that stage. Exactly 1 year and 1 month after I bought it, it gave a PC board error and I was told a replacement PC board would cost R5000, they would advise buying a new one, which I did on 9 March 2024 at R7000. And guess what, today, 16 March 2025 exactly the same story, one week out of warranty. Although the tank itself has no problems, obviously there is some dubious back story to the pumps failing.
