Jonsson Workwear
Based on recent customer reviews, Jonsson Workwear receives polarised feedback that highlights a clear divide between in-store experiences and product durability. Customers consistently praise branch staff across Polokwane, Centurion, Alberton and Amanzimtoti for friendly, knowledgeable and attentive service, with the online store earning recognition for prompt deliveries even to outlying areas. However, a recurring theme is dissatisfaction with declining product quality, particularly pants, boots and socks tearing or wearing out prematurely, alongside frustration with embroidery delays, missing order items, and a returns process customers find burdensome.

The first time we walked into a Jonsson Workwear shop on Hendrik Potgieter Road in Roodepoort, we were stunned by the service. Dez heard my son and me speaking Afrikaans, switched languages, and assisted us in the most incredible way. Seabata then came to take measurements to shorten the jeans, and we were treated to excellent coffee. We’ll definitely be back!

It is rear to find a company who is able to deliver what they promise On the website it stated that you can take in damaged jonnson wok ware and they will either repair or if the garment is unrepairable dispose of in an environmentally suitable manner Initial response time for repair was 5-6 weeks Surprise I received confirmation that my garment was repair and ready for collection 14 calendar days

This company has an excellent online store and service. I've ordered shirts twice this month from them (we are situated in Middelburg Mpumalanga which is normally seen as an outlying area for companies and couriers) and received the parcel the next day! Well done Jonsson Workwear, keep up the good service.

I am posting this as a warning to other buyers, especially those considering ordering online. We have bought workwear from Johnson’s for many years. Their shoes, socks and overalls used to be of exceptionally high quality — durable, practical, and well-suited to real working conditions. You only needed to buy once every couple of years because the products lasted. That is no longer the case. We recently placed an online order and every item we received was substandard compared to previous purchases, despite being sold as the same products. • Housecoat: Previously light, breathable, and practical. The current version is extremely thick, stiff and uncomfortable. Even after washing, the fabric remains hard and unyielding. We live in a hot and humid climate, and these overalls are completely unsuitable. This is not a minor change — it is a fundamental downgrade in fabric and wearability. • Socks: Advertised as cotton rich, but they are largely synthetic. Only the heel and toe areas resemble the older quality. The rest of the sock is slippery, lacks structure, and causes the foot to slide inside the shoe. At R119+ per pair, this quality is unacceptable and comparable to cheap multipack socks. What makes this worse is the returns and refund process: You must pay your own return costs, send the item to a store yourself, and complete additional admin to ensure the return is processed correctly. For products that are clearly inferior and inconsistent with past quality, this places an unfair burden on the customer. My advice: Do not buy from Johnson’s online. The quality is inconsistent, and based on this order, I cannot confidently say that Johnson’s still offers reliable workwear at all. We will not be buying from Johnson’s again.

The quality is very bad. I bought a blue long cargo pants for work with the idea that it will last longer than the current clothes I wear. What a joke, it only lasted 1 month before being torn between my legs just from rubbing together while walking. You can not advertise yourself as a durable brand when I can get more durable clothes from Pick n Pay clothing. Won't be buying from Jonnsons again
