I had a very disappointing experience with this holiday home. The stay itself was fine, but after checkout the host deducted part of my deposit and gave reasons that were simply not accurate. I left the property clean, tidy, and in good condition, yet I was still charged for issues that did not exist when I departed

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at this accommodation. The place itself was fine, but the issues began after checkout. The host deducted money from my deposit for completely unnecessary reasons, claiming the property was left “above normal dirtiness.” This is simply not true. The only thing I left in the bin was my baby’s used nappy—exactly where a nappy belongs. It’s normal household waste, and certainly not something that justifies extra charges. Instead of being honest, they exaggerated the situation and made excuses to keep part of my deposit. I always respect the places I stay, and I left the accommodation clean and tidy. To be accused of causing excessive mess was frustrating, and the lack of transparency from the host was even worse. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone who values fairness, honesty, and clear communication. There are plenty of places that don’t invent reasons to take extra money from guests

The house itself was lovely, and I initially enjoyed my stay, but the way management handled things afterward was completely unprofessional and disappointing. After I left, there was an issue with my ID being left behind. I reached out politely and suggested that both sides share responsibility for the courier cost to return it. Instead of communicating with me or giving me any notice, they silently took the funds from my breakage deposit and refused to pay even half of the cost as discussed. What’s worse is the total lack of transparency or accountability. No one bothered to respond properly or explain their decision, they just went ahead and deducted the money. This is not how guests should be treated, especially after paying good money to stay there. It’s a shame because the property itself is great, but the management’s attitude and poor communication completely ruined the experience. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re willing to risk your deposit and deal with unprofessional behavior afterward.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM!! They lie and ***** your deposit money. Firstly we rented a very expensive home and upon arrival the couch was completely stained, the bed sheet had brown (looked like dried blood) on it and over Christmas we couldn’t use the oven as it was broken. We spoke to different members of staff about how unhappy and inconvenient this was and they still kept our ENTIRE DEPOSIT OF R2000. They’ve stopped responding to any emails or messages. They are deposit *******, worst part we’re not the only people they’ve ****** deposit money from by the looks of the reviews.

I just love staying here! It's my second stay and it is home away from home. The location is perfect. The views awesome and the accommodation just beautiful. The team takes excellent care of their guests!

I was so happy with our stay while we were there as the house and location were wonderful. But then after we left, I got an email saying they will be taking from my deposit to clean the couches we messed on. I can almost guarantee it was not me or the group of people I was staying with. The pictures of the stains they sent looked old, and we couldn't even make out what it was. And also, we did not eat nor drink on those couches, so it's mind-boggling how we could've made those marks. There was even a dirt mark on the SIDE of the couch's arm rest. We did not put our feet or rub dirt up on those couches so WHERE could it be from? Definitely not us. This company seems to be ****ming people for their deposit money and it is utterly disappointing. I would not recommend booking with them unless you're willing to take pictures of every inch of the house you're staying at once you leave to make sure you have proof of how you left the house. Cost me over R500 to clean up a few spots on the couch and one dirt mark (all of which were not made by us) that could be cleaned with some handy Andy and elbow grease.

my daughter and a group of friends aged 20/21 years old, stayed at 8 flamingo street booking via langebaan holiday homes. what a disaster. these young adults were taken advantage of and only paid a percentage of the deposit back, because they messed on the couch. they were sent photos all of which to me looked like old marks, and one mark on the arm of the couch looked like it was there for years. i will not ever go there or book via langebaan holiday homes!!!!!!!!!!!! their email is info@LangebaanHolidayHomes.com

We booked a vacation at Langebaan with Langebaan holiday homes, overall, the service was fine, but when they needed to repay our deposit, they decided to take R950 for towels that were never even in the room in the first place. They say that there were supposed to be 8 towels, but we only had 4 towels for the whole week for 6 people. There was no checklist or anything like that to show that the towels are supposed to be there.

We booked a vacation at Langebaan with Langebaan holiday homes, overall, the service was fine, but when they needed to repay our deposit, they decided to take R950 for towels that were never even in the room in the first place. They say that there were supposed to be 8 towels, but we only had 4 towels for the whole week for 6 people. There was no checklist or anything like that to show that the towels are supposed to be there.
