In June, I went to BMW Menlyn to test drive a car. During my test drive, I noticed that the Gearshift panel was faulty. I was tild that before I bought the car, it would be repaired or replaced. I took their word fopr it, and purchased the vehicle. When I collected the car, the salespersopn said that they used "Wurth" spray which fixed the sticky buttons. I also after signing got told that the car didn't have a spare key and due to me asking for a small dicount, they cannot give me one. A month later, the buttons on the panel became sticky and non-responsive. I decided to wait until August to book the car in for service and deal with the buttons same time. The dealer I took my car to said that the panel is faulty and it's marked as out of warranty due to liquid damage. I collected my vehicle and booked in with BMW Menlyn to deal with it. The service depatment said to me that it's a billable replacement and after some calls back and forth explaining the story, I got told that the damage is new. I then collected the vehicle and took the matter up with BMW South Africa directly. After some weeks of back and forth, they said BMW Menlyn agreed to replace the panel. I confirmed with the salesperson and he said it would be replced. Booked the car in and it worked, for another month. The panel was never replaced. It was sprayed again. BMW Menlyn ripped me off, didn't disclose information until I signed and collected tyhe vehicle. Stay clear from them. It's the worst service I've had with BMW in my life.

I trust this email finds you well. I am writing to formally request your assistance regarding ongoing issues with my financed vehicle. For the past six months, I have experienced persistent “speed limit failure” problems with the car, which have not been resolved despite multiple visits to BMW dealerships. When the problem initially started, I took the vehicle to BMW Club Motors. However, the issue continued, and after contacting BMW South Africa to express my frustration, I was advised to take the vehicle to a different dealership. I then took the car to BMW Menlyn, where they replaced a component on the steering wheel. Unfortunately, the same problem reoccurred within two days after each collection. On 7 October, I returned the vehicle to BMW Menlyn as the error continued to appear frequently. Since then, my car has remained with them. I have not been provided with a loan vehicle, and although the dealership has arranged to drive me to and from work, this solution is not practical. Over weekends or when I need to run personal errands, I am forced to use Uber, which has become costly and inconvenient. Given the extended duration of the repairs and the ongoing inconvenience, I kindly request your urgent assistance in ensuring that I am provided with a loan vehicle while BMW works on resolving the issues with my car. Your support in this matter would be highly appreciated, and I look forward to your prompt response.

Kgomotso Motau is truly a gentleman! His service deserves 10 stars. During my visit to the dealership, he assisted me and made me feel right at home with his friendliness. He was exceptionally professional and went above and beyond to help me, even though I didn't find the car I was looking for. His outstanding service gave me hope, and I will definitely be coming back because of the assistance he provided.

I have no words for BMW Menlyn. Arrogance, sub standard service & diagnostics, forgeting to put back the engine cover. Not diagnosing an oil leak after 2 recent diagnostics, missing bolts and loose bolts to mention but a few & oh yes terrible car wash. (Dirty rims & polish half app**** to not properly washed tyres. I have complained about their wash for years. They dont rinse the car properly so cause swirl marks on your paint & you have to pay 90 bucks for it. Daylight *******) Disabled driver. Ryan Dekker

My mini needs a part to run.I contacted BWM Menlyn for the part and they did not have it in stock.To order the part you must pay first, then wait for the part to be delivered to the garage.Now i have mailed, phoned many times(Michael Ntshanga) and no joy.I need their banking details to do the payment and this they cannot do.In the meantime my car is standing since Saturday and they do not care to help their customers. I saw many complaints about this branch and seems they just don't care... stay away..

Very pathetic to say the least! I wouldn't recommend BMW Menlyn even to my worst enemy. We've surviced our vehicle there three times and each time it's been a different nightmare. They only finished servicing the car after 5:00pm, and cited a "long queue" as an excuse as if this took them by surprise. My wife didn't have transport to pick up our child from school and we ended up with our child being left stranded after the school closed. The last time I was there their service manager was even screaming at the one client. I've owned VW before. BMW's customer service and the overall experience doesn't even come close. This is our first BMW and probably the last.
