I generally really like the Life Day Spa Franchise and have been to the one in the Westrand several times. I was,. However, deeply disappointed at the treatment by the staff on duty at the front desk/reception. (Monday 17th 2025). I found their manner of approach curt and inhospitable. Although I had put through a request (4 days prior to my visit), I understood that unless I was given a call, my booking was not secure. Although I was willing to be flexible and accommodating, I found the response and treatment from the staff, a bit on the rude and condescending side. It was such a pity as it was my mother’s birthday and my attempt to make her day special, was ruined. I’d never be caught dead at this spa- you can’t feel stressed from hostile treatment at a place where you are coming to rest and rid yourself of daily stresses of life. I am quite disappointed.

Phoned to make a booking and was highly disappointed as they could not accommodate us with the hyperbaric treatment for this Saturday 30/11 yet we have always been going there on weekends and getting the hyperbaric treatment. The black Friday special also runs only on Weekdays. As busy professionals this is very disappointing to say the least. They also spelt my name wrong as Adelle Langman. :-(

Booked a treatment at this spa for 11am. I got there at 10:30am, way early for my time. I checked in and Moshidi at the reception confirmed my 11:15 appointment, i tried to say 11 o’ clock but she insisted 11:15. Which was fine cos 15 min later. I changed into their rope and went upstairs to wait. I waited and waited, the stuff was just passing me as if there was NO one. I eventually asked one lady who took me to the reception. The reception, i was told my appointment was MOVED to 12:15. What!!! NO ONE BOTHERED TO TELL ME THAT NONSENSE, WHY? After travelling all the way and all this? It will never be thr end of this. I will make sure everyone knows about this ****py service. I have left the spa without a treatment. And no one cared….

I received a gift voucher from my cousin for an aroma therapy massage at Life Day Spa Rosebank. When I booked the appointment in advance, I said I was redeeming a gift voucher and gave the voucher number. I arrived today for the massage and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience until I went back to reception only to be told that there was a mix up and "that voucher" had already been redeemed by the person who bought it. Why would anyone buy a gift voucher and then use it themselves? The very least Life Day Spa staff could have done was to have told me BEFORE the massage that that voucher had already been redeemed, and given me the choice of paying for the treatment myself, or cancelling the appointment. Instead, finding out only after the treatment, I was forced to pay R790.00, unexpectedly. Instead of feeling pampered and relaxed, I now feel emotionally manipulated, taken advantage of, and abused. It smacks of a ****, or dishonest business practices at the very least. Needless to say I will never return to Life Day Spa.

My absolute favourite spa in Johannesburg. Always experienced great service. They have wonderful facilities, trained staff who are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend them! After all the #BlackFriday shopping, treat yourself at Life Day Rosebank

My experience of Rosebank Life day spa is quite disappointing. I made a booking request on Sunday and I the system said that a member of the team would be in contact with me to confirm my booking . I recieved no email or phone call to confirm my booking request. I then reached out to them via DM and got no response . I also then sent an email to which I was told my booking there is no booking request on their side. I then sent proof of my booking request and to which I received no response or follow up. I then made another booking for Friday. Still I received no response . I then called them today which is a Wednesday, I was told again that there was no booking request showing in their side. The lady then offered to make a booking for me and I agreed and then assured me I would receive a confirmation sms shortly and an email to which I would pay deposit . I received no sms and recieved no email from them to make deposit. They clearly do not not want my service or perhaps want booking requests worth more. However I’m no longer interested in their services moreover. Their empoloyees are ****s as well.

On Sunday we went to the very disappointing Life day Spa Rosebank for an “Eternally yours” voucher, for my gf bday. We get there rushed in to the change rooms, had the first treatments and felt relaxed. We sat waiting for our massage as they were late, ended at the scheduled time and headed home. Once we got home we realised i had accidentally left my garmin watch in the locker. I phoned the spa and they said they will look and get back to me. After waiting for hours for a response we go back to the spa to get the watch…this was where i was demanded by one of the staff to wait until closing for them to look for the watch and they will call before closing. Confused we head back home. We phone again before closing because nobody wanted to assist when we were there. They showed no interest in helping us. They insisted we wait. So we waited, in the wait we chatted to people who said they also had a terrible experience there (this is where we found out they left out things from our package). They never got back to us like they insisted. On Monday we phone to resolve the situation and are told there’s nothing they can do, we enquire to speak to a manager. After hearing nothing for hours we phone ,again, to speak to the manager who apologised but wouldn’t budge to help find the watch besides call the laundry to see if it was there (when we told them it was in the locker). We haven’t heard anything back from them, we were not helped by their staff or manager on the day. We were sent away when we tried to retrieve the watch. So disappointing to see such a beautiful industry act with no ethics, no professionalism, no concern about their clients. We were treated with such disconcern and won’t be going back especially after hearing all the complaints come out from others. Such a disappointment that such a beautiful birthday gift ended in such an appalling way.
