EXTREMLY RUDE!!!! UNHELPFUL & UNEDUCATED !!!
Bunch of EXTREMLY RUDE!!!! UNHELPFUL & UNEDUCATED IMBECILS!!! Went to the pet shop to buy my pet ****** new toys, while looking around an employee behind the cashers desk asked if she could assist us. Out of nowhere either the manager or owner rudely interrupted her and started verbally attacking & swearing at us. Ranting on about how she personally thinks its ********* to keep ******s as pets and do we even know how much work it is to look after them. Completely dumbstruck & in shock from what just happened and, I guess, trying to avoid confrontation with a complete stranger my partner just ignored the crazy lady & immediately took the ****** and walked out. I on the other hand actually tried to defend myself but with her literally screaming at full volume at this point I could hardly get a word in and only told her that we never asked for her opinion and then asked what the hell she’s doing in a pet shop if that's how she feels and walked out. You can decide for yourself if you want to support a business like this. Since unasked & completely irrelevant personal opinions are given at random, HERE'S MINE ... just thinking to myself... if you can speak to a stranger and customer that way, just imagine how you must treat and speak to those around you not to mention the poor employees who work for you. TRULY The worst experience and service I’ve ever received never before have I had such a crazy interaction and seen so much anger and/or aggression towards me coming from, as I said, a complete stranger.

Lack of Education
We went to Lifestyle pet hyper in Randburg on the corner of Beyers looking for supplies for our hamsters. The staff are not very familiar with the products that are kept for hamsters as when we enquired what type of wood are the wood shavings they had made from, we were informed that we should read the bags. If the bags gave us answers, we wouldn't of asked and the reason we enquired is because pine wood shavings is dangerous for your hamsters and it seems like that is all that they stock. Another factor that really upset me was that they kept adult golden hamsters together and they were fighting and when I say fighting, I mean they were bleeding and when we informed the staff to please separate them, the staff showed no concern or haste, in fact I don't believe they ever separated them. And if you have knowledge of hamsters, you would know that golden adult hamsters do not share their space. And by keeping the hamsters in that space you are putting them under stress and shortening their lifespans, which is really putting future owners and the hamster at a disadvantage. I find it really sad that the staff do not have the adequate knowledge to assist customers nor do they have the adequate knowledge and care to take care of the animals in their possession. Education is key!

Disgusting Lifestyle pet hyper
My blood is boiling right now. They are selling sick animals, the enclosures they keep their bunnies and Guinea ***s have NO hay (their diets are 80% hay), toxic bedding in their enclosures and hamsters crowded and fighting.. hamsters are solitary animals. I will NOT support them ever again

I have twice bought tropical fish from the Pet Shop situated in Life Style, Johannesburg. In both instances some of the fish have died within hours and days. The second set of fish went into a newly [and correctly] set up tank thus there is no doubt the Life Style fish were ill. <br> Their plants are also unhealthy thus I have not bought plants from the store. <br> I would not recommend this store for tropical fish.
