Madmacs Motorcycles Cape town / Summerset West delayed and did not register my motorbike I purchased. The roadworthy expired because of their no-care attitude. We arranged that I would take the bike again for roadworthy and that they as the seller, must pay but they keep me from doing so by not send the old registration documentation and detail so that I can take the bike for a roadworthy. This bike is financed, and the license has since expired. They received the FULLl payment of R 145 000.000 during October 2020, AND JUST THERE THE PROBLEMS STARTED. They released the bike and mentioned that they will take n permit out so that I can drive meanwhile they have to fulfil their responsibilities. The condition was that they will provide me the next week with the registration papers, spare key, owner's manual, and proof of the service record. My insurance will not pay as they do not ever provide me with a permit up to date - 2020/01/27. They are fully paid and keep on giving me the run-around with excuse after excuse, until last week that I got ignored totally and all messages that I left at their branch and the salesman Whatsapp account. After my first formal complaint in writing on 2020/12/12, the salesman confirmed that the CEO will contact me on Monday the next week. To date, I was not contacted by the CEO about my predicament.

Good day Madmacs have been looking after our 2 bikes for a few years now and I am usually very satisfied with the quality of their work. I cannot recall any dissapointments that was not corrected with a good attitude. Although they listen carefully to all my requests, I recommend that you carefully and completely fill in the required work on the form they provide (this is recommended for work done at any service provider but I tend to hurry through it and to rather talk to them). They have been very helpfull and their feedback is usually good. I give them 5 stars for their work ethics, for good reason. After they serviced my 1995 KLR, the sump plug leaked oil, which it never did before (yes a frequently used 1995 KLR with no oil leaks and I'm at least the 5th owner). I tightened the plug a bit and again but the leak persisted and I returned my bike to Madmacs. They confirmend that the thread was stripped and that they will get a thread replacement specialist to repair it. I did some google research and it turns out that the KLR sump threads are known to strip easily as the bike ages. I could not say if it stripped because of the age of my bike or if it happened as a result of the service and thus I accepted that I will have to cover the cost for the repair. As a Christian I have to admit, this acceptance (disappointingly) did not come easily to me and required a lot of introspection and prayer. Once I accepted it in obedience to God, God gave me peace and helped me to never mention to them that I thought that they could have caused it and to keep a good attitude towards them. They communicated progress often and the thread specialist had an adaptor made up to ensure a good interface with sufficient thread length. All this required a lot of admin and work from Madmacs and the cost of using a contractor and external engineering work. When I went in to collect my bike I expected a bill of R3000+ for the repair but Hanno simply handed over my key and said he and Dave discussed it and decided to do the repair on their expence even though they could not say for sure that they caused it. I thanked them very sincerely and I thanked God for the blessing bestowed on me and an answerded prayer. They were very humble in this and did not blow their own trumpet for what they have done. I pray that this review serves as a blessing to them. Regards, VW Stemmet

I have always taken my scooter to MadMacs in Somerset West and received good service until yesterday when I got there just wanted the mechaning to check the rectifier. I could see they were buzy unpacking 2 motor cycles. The man with the beard stood there doing nothing. When I asked the mechanic to check it quickly the man with the beard told me \ this stuff is not ogoing to unpack itself!\" The mechaninc was willing to quickly look but was stopped by the man doing nothing. If he was capable of thinking for himself he could have carried on unpacking but NO! I left. I sent and email to the shop asking for the owner's email address, whom once, in the presence of Marlee told me i bought a piece of SHIT!<br> They repleid back to say I must take my scooter somewhere else. I am not prepared to do this, since it is close by and convenient!. The other thing that concerns me is that with them, you ONLY get expensive parts! no choice is given which I find unacceptable! I need them to check my rectifier, seeing that I have NO lights on the scooter what so ever. I was not told about this when they replaced the battery a week ago. I fear for my saftey seeing that this is my only mode of transport. "
