Currently having a difficult time with Tanya Mason as she is refusing to refund my deposit. It has been 4 months and i am still trying to get a refund from her. She is very unprofessional and refuses to respond to any of my enquiries.

I spoke to Tanya Mason who showed me around an apartment that may have been over priced. She firstly tried to pressurize me into signing the lease without viewing the property saying that she could not hold off other potential applicants ( I do not think there were others). I signed the lease but did not send it back to her and arranged a viewing after hours. We met after hours. I asked her for the finer print in regards to the lease, should it be terminated sooner to which she responded the next afternoon and then began to send me follow up emails apologizing for the delay (proves she did not have other applicants). I then told her that I need to consider my options and will send the signed lease the next day if I am happy after thinking it over one more time. She responded saying that she has to proceed with other applicants and used the term "maybes" in a very condescending way. She said: "we cant wait for maybe's...". Upon reading that, I replied that she does not need to be rude about it and she can proceed with other applicants. She then responded a day later by sending me the literal definition of "maybe", being even more condescending than before. She said: "My apologies if you did not like my terminology the meaning is not rude or unprofessional at all - Here is the meaning: /ˈmeɪ.bi/ us. /ˈmeɪ.bi/ A2. used to show that something is possible or that something might be true: Maybe they'll come tomorrow.". I am quiet young and I believe that the condescending, manipulative and rude behaviour towards me was directed at me because of my young age and the assumption that I will not question things and will just go with the flow.

Leased a place at Monte Falco Residential Complex through Tanya and her team and its honestly just been the biggest, ongoing living nightmare. Despite paying a holding deposit to secure the place 5 weeks in advance, going on 12 weeks and still no repairs or maintenance done on the place. At every turn we're met with empty promises and incompetence. There are no updates or communication from them unless we send multiple follow up emails. There really is no support whatsoever, even when it comes to issues of estate management at Monte Falco. Don't even get me started on the place Monte Falco itself: it sadly has proved to be such an awful and unsafe place to stay, especially as a young single women. Since moving in here I have sadly been subjected to the worse possible service delivery and even abuse by the security guard staff. I once felt so unsafe at midnight, due to the security guards, that I had to call the Douglasdale SAPS (police) to come protect me and my roommates and get the security guards to leave us alone. Despite reporting this to the estate management, I was met with nothing but incompetence and no further help. Add to that the fact that the general upkeep of the estate is below par (the pool and gardens are always dirty and unkempt) it really just isn't worth the investment or leasing amount. You're better off finding something worth the pay in inner Lonehill or Douglasdale, with better management. Disappointing experience all round. And all through out this no support from Mason as our leasing agency. No surprises there, though, as if they can't even get our shower door working or our blinds fixed, how could we expect any real support from them?
