In January this year MCT Projects and Contractors (MCT) replaced a faulty pressure valve on my water geyser at a cost of R1 511.00. The valve was under warranty and I was assured by MCT that I would get a refund for the cost thereof. Their email dated 19 January 2016 states: “We have spoken to the manufacture of the valve that was replaced, they will collect it as they said during the course of this week, please kindly note that they advised us that after collection they will notify us when they will make the payment for the valve.

After the manufacture has refunded us for the faulty valve under warranty we will notify you and refund you immediately”.

It is now five months later and, despite numerous emails that I have sent to them which have been ignored albeit that I have received “Read Receipts” and phone calls where promises to phone me back were not kept, I have yet to receive my refund which I expect to be about R1 000 (R1 511 less labour costs of R511).

The above doesn’t say much about MCT’s standard of customer service and delivering on their promises.

Public Littering

on Saturday the 5th March 2016 I drove behind an MCT Projects and Contractors company vehicle registration number DS 72 HD GP at 1134 along Primula towards Garsfontein in Pretoria East.
I witnessed the driver and passenger drinking while driving. When the vehicle stopped at the traffic light, the driver threw his can out of the vehicle onto the road while the vehicles were stationary. Several drivers hooted at this individual for throwing his garbage out of the vehicle.
This individual proceeded to drive towards woodlands boulevard where he was confronted by a driver as why he threw his garbage out of the vehicle. The driver and passenger both laughed at the confrontation and proceeded to swear at the gentleman questioning them.
I am sure this public display of behaviour is a disgrace to the company hence he was driving a company vehicle.
I have photographs of this driver passenger and vehicle

A pipe connecting to my main water supply developed a leak. MCT Projects was appointed by my insurance. They came and \fixed"the leak on Saturday only to have a new leak 1 cm from their \""fix\"" 2 days later. The leak was so bad the water was spraying 3 meters into the air. This type of damage does not happen in 2 days"
