Dear reader last year December my bag was totally damaged when I flew from CT to Durban. I filled in all the relevant paperwork and 3 months later not a word from Menzies or FlySafair. Yesterday I travelled to Durban. Upon my arrival at my hotel I only realised my bag was tamped with. When I opened my bag my jewellery box was opened and my wedding ring and X3 gold bangles taken. I am gutted by this. I have asked my travel agent never to book me with this airliner again. I called customer service not friendly. They are the worse

Qantas airlines lost our luggage. We had an apple air tag in the luggage bag, we tracked it for 3 weeks and no staff could locate it even though we told them it is at their airport. 3 weeks later we receive comms that they found it and it is on its way to Johannesburg. On 18th December I spoke to Martin at Menzies and he confirmed the flight just landed they will call me back once they have the luggage in hand. On the 19th December I received a missed call at 06:55am. Between 08:25am and 12:30 I called TWENTY times and the phone numbers kept ringing off with no answer to the 0119*****2 / 7511. At 12:30 Lawrence answered the call and assured me he will call me back in 3-5min. It is 17:49pm on 19th December and i have called another THIRTY FIVE times with NO ONE answering the phone. I do believe they are avoiding my call as they have caller identity to the phone number as they confirmed they have when they re-peated my number back to me. The air tag luggage bag confirms that the luggage bag is in DURBAN today !! the office hours stipulates EVERY DAY 06:00 - 20:00pm!! NO ANSWER TO CALLS, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE DELIVERY AS PROMISED ON THEIR WEBSITE - BAD SERVICE. We will be taking this forward for compensation!

Qantas airlines lost our luggage. On the 27/10/25 my husband’s bag was sky checked at King Shaka, when he got to OR Tambo the bag was nowhere to be found. He spent 3 hours with Menzies Aviation agents, no bag. On the 28/10/25 I phoned Fly Safair and spoke to Junaid and Hlegiwe, I set a timer on my phone to call them back every 2 hours, no bag just Junaid saying he sent an email. I asked to be copied on all emails so I could see that they were doing something. I was never copied on any email, Junaid sent me an incorrect phone number to call Menzies King Shaka. I have been phoning daily and no one knows where the bag is. Today Menzies Aviation said they were going to the HQ of Fly Safair as a bag that looks like ours was seen by Tshepo who has not been at work for 2 days now. Junaid is also off. I asked to speak to the manager on duty yesterday and Hlengiwr said the lady would call me, this was 4:30 yesterday am still waiting for that call. I have called all offices over 50 times, from last week Fly Safair is sending emails to request to view footage from King Shaka and OR Tambo, when you follow up on the footage you are told that they just sent an email. No urgency whatsoever no care for personal belongings. Today I lost it with one of the guys, going around in circles everyday, no one knows what’s going on.

I acrually can't give them any stars. How they got the contract at OR Tambo is beyond me! We love to fly Lift....but Menzies are TERRIBLE. Left my disabled daughter and forgot about her!!! We nearly missed the floght to Cape Town! POOREST SERVICE WE RECEIVED IN A LONG TIME!

I would like to tahnk this opportunity to talk about the company I was working for with all honest and got an IOD while I was working and all the neccesary documentation was filled and submitted at all times but never recieved compensation for my injury instead after six months was served with a dismal at OR Tambo international airport

I went to New Zealand for one month and had packed my luggage accordingly. Due to complications at LAX my bag arrived in Auckland two days too late and I had already left for another place within New Zealand (my whole trip was pre booked so I could not stay in Auckland any longer). However, the Airport bag services at Auckland had assured me that they would get my bag to my new location as soon as possible. Long story short: dozens of unanswered phone calls and emails to Menzies later they finally managed to call me after three weeks into my trip to let me know my bag had arrived and to ask what they should do with it. I ended up picking up my bag at the Menzies office after my 4-week trip and after having had to buy new clothes and toiletries. Even there it took a while until someone even came to the counter to help me, while I heard the team chatting and laughing in the back of the office as if I wasn‘t there waiting. I told the employee who handed me the bag that I was very frustrated about how they had ignored my calls and emails for weeks and he started a discussion, basically trying to tell me that it was not their fault, that this was normal. I am absolutely shocked at the fact that a company can afford to offer such horrible services without facing consequences and hope that airlines will choose to work with different companies in the future.

I was flying from OR Tambo to Port Elizabeth (16 December 2024) with my puppy. The service that we received during the whole process was excellent. I would like to thank Lizzie and Zintle for their help us during the whole process.
