This School has incorrectly and I dare to say *******ly used the Consumer Protection Act to withhold Our school fees deposit. Despite cordial engagement to persuade them to effect the refund they blatantly refuse. We are reporting the school to the Department of Education as well as Consumer Ombudsman and also instituting a claim in the Small Claims Court If you have had similar issues, kindly get in touch so that we can examine what other recourse is available to us, but also to ensure that any current and future parents are not adversely affected in the same way Saga sagap787@gmail.com

I paid R8,000 admission deposit in December 2024 to Midland International School to secure placement for the 2025 academic year for two kids. I later submitted written notice within the required deadline and completed all necessary documentation indicating that my kids would not be returning to the school in the next academic year, in full compliance with the school's stated refund policy and I don't owe the school. Despite complying with the process, the school has refused to refund my deposit and has not provided any reasonable justification or breaking down of actual costs incurred to support retaining the funds. I have now lodged a formal complaint with the National Consumer Commission, and the reference number is: CC2026/02/0442 I hope the school will reconsider its position and resolve this matter fairly and professionally. Please Parents let's raise this complaints with the National Consumer Commission so this can raise flag about the school.

Please avoid these ****mers at all costs. They are just greedy thats all. All they love is money and nothing else. They are even greedy to refund money you paid in excess for fees because their hearts bleed to give back people their money. I would understand if it was something else but money I paid and they feel they cant refund due to greediness. I wont stop writing about you until you refund my money. Since I filled the form last year September for refund you tell me you have to sit and discuss if you should pay me. Well my money you will pay

********* and unprofessional conduct from the director / school management team. When we had to move our learner to another school in 2024 to safeguard her education (high teacher turnover a problem) Midland Primary and High School (MPHS, aka Midland International School) refused to return our fully refundable R4000 deposit. They ignored numerous mails from us for months but eventually agreed in writing to give us our money back, but shortly thereafter changed their minds. They said in writing that they would only give us our money back if we took down our review of the school. Can you believe it - trying to make giving OUR money back conditional upon us withdrawing an honest review that they didn't like - instead of addressing the factual problem areas that resulted in the review! It is concerning that what is ostensibly a professional, trustworthy and respectable learning institution would choose to seriously damage its own reputation for the sake of with holding R4000 that legally belongs to a parent. The school has no legal or legitimate reason to continue refusing to pay back our fully refundable deposit. The director Mr Vijay Addula and his school management team risk significant reputational damage by persisting with their ill-considered course of action in this matter. We hope that the schools governing body, the SA department of education, the CAT Group and/or the Umalusi Council steps in soon to address this serious ********* behaviour. We entrust our young impressionable learners to a school in order to gain knowledge and have their integrity positively reinforced by the ethical words and actions of a school. No parent can afford to instead have a school undermining such integrity by behaving in an ********* manner. This is an absolute no no for a primary and high school.

I have had the worst experience with this school. My son was electricuted in 2023 by a jumping castle machine as there was no adult supervision, he was hospitalized thereafter for 3 days. They only gave me an apology. My son also experienced bullying at this school. I had been paying school fees religiously. I gave them a notice to remove him from the school in September 2024 due to financial constraints, according to their terms of me receiving my deposit refund back of R4000 I had to give a terms notice, however they gave me feedback that my request had been rejected only in April 2025, without even taking consideration or leniency of me been a single parent. I had overpaid a R800 on my account last year which I keep asking about and they keep giving me the run around on if they will refund me this payment. The accounts lady is very useless and does not have any consideration of been human to a parent calling and querying. I want my money back!!!! I do not have the means to be giving free money away.
