Please STAY AWAY from JOYCE KELLY of MIJOY YORKIES!! It’s true she really is a SCAMMER and a THIEF with NO CONSCIENCE! So many bad reviews about her! If only I had done my research!! Joyce contacted ME in February to try and sell me one of her puppies. It was not the right time but after going back and fourth I relented. She demanded full payment of R18000 on the 23/05/22 which I used most of my savings to pay. She always said my pup was more fragile so he should stay with her a little longer and we agreed i would fetch him on the 30/04/22. She then messaged about how the puppy was not doing well and he would be too sick to travel and I must cancel my plans to fetch him and then he passed away. I was so sad. I did not ask her for the money back as i thought rightly so that she would just replace the pup once another litter was born. I got the most horrific message to tell me that the PUPPY DIED BECAUSE OF ME as i should have taken him 10 days earlier when his siblings left. Note 10 days earlier she was already telling me he was not doing well! I guess she would have been more entitled to keep the money if the puppy died with me as then she could blame me, but the puppy was sick! SHE WENT ON TO SAY THAT I MUST PAY HALF (R9000 ) FOR THE PUPPY AS SHE SUFFERED FINANCIALLY AND I MUST BARE THAT COST AS SHE RAISED THE PUPPY FOR 3 MONTHS!!!!! Is this not her business? Is she not the breeder?? SHE ALSO STATED THAT IF I WANTED THE SAME SIZE PUP THE PRICE WOULD NOW GO UP TO AS MUCH AS ANOTHER R7000!!! Anyways her final offer was that she would pay me back a bit every month over a year! I could not trust her after I read another complaints of how she swindles innocent victims and she turned over night into such a nasty, unreasonable person! She has had so much time to start paying me back and I have not received 1 cent yet!!!I am heartbroken , not just at losing the puppy, but my savings and wasted time fighting this. I have opened a case against her and i have contacted the bank fraud division. Hopefully i will be the last person she dies this to. I got my lawyer to draft a demand letter and still nothing except she is going to take me to the Human Rights Commission as I have reported her to the registered kennel association. She has NO intention of paying me back. She uses the fact that she is a Christian to bluff you and that she does so much animal welfare! Oh that was also another reason she gave that she should be rewarded for her good work to animals and that is why she should keep my money! I HAVE ALL THE PROOF!!!!! Can’t believe people like this really exist!!!!!

JOYCE KELLY - MIJOY YORKIES & Biewers - SCAMMER & THIEF & Fraud !!!! Avoid Joyce Kelly from Mijoy Yorkies from Northriding, near Northgate Mall, Johannesburg !!!! I would like to share my horrific experience & story with this so-called “Yorkie Breeder” who professes to be the only Breeder in South Africa to be able to produce and supply true Teacup Yorkies & tiny Pocket Yorkies in general. Joyce Kelly from Mijoy Yorkies .... she scammed me out of R13,200 for a Yorkie that I never received !!!! 😢.... after being held on a promise to deliver that ‘perfect’ one for years !!!! First a small deposit to ‘book’ a baby & then the price just went up every so-called delivery time. The last payment was for a collection & a cash balance of R1,800 ...... only to be told the girl died when Joyce gave it its injections. Yes Joyce immunizes the babies herself according to her as well as the vet she used as a reference !!! After that I just kept getting the one excuse after the other. On telling her that I am not prepared to wait another year I was told that she does not do refunds !!!! I informed her that unless I am refunded I will share my story wherever I could. She claims that I demanded a certain size and was never happy with what she offered. A blatant lie !!!!! She will not show the parents of the babies, you cannot visit her .... it is a secret ???? Her husband delivers the babies to you at a garage on Malibongwe drive near her place in Northriding. She asks for money to help with her other sick animals with some sob story. She writes loooong stories on her website including her monthly newsletters which are total fabrications and lies to excuse her fraudulent thieving actions. She is a THIEF & a SCAM !!!! I have loads of emails, WhatsApp messages including voice notes of Joyce Kelly in support of my horrible story. My story goes back many years. She even brings my daughters’ purchase of 2 Yorkies & my road with Cancer into the story. Her dogs regularly die on buyers & then she blames the buyer as the guilty party. She asks R15,000 for a Yorkie & R20,000 for a Biewer. She kept pushing me to take a Biewer which I didn’t want. She claims to have sent X amount of dogs overseas ..... All fabrications !!!!! I have received the most horrific messages from her since & have now reported her to the police for theft and fraud 😤 Yes I foolishly believed in her & got scammed by an expert thief. 😢😡 Be aware & share far & wide !!!! Joyce Kelly - Mijoy Yorkies & Biewers is a THIEF & SCAMMER !!!!!

I paid a R4000 deposit to Mijoy to reserve a puppy. One became available sooner than expected. We agreed on a slightly discounted price, ( she offered the discount in a voicenote which I still have) and that I would pay the full amount by October. The agreement was confirmed by another R 5000 payment. R4000 there and then on acceptance and another R1000 a week or so later I was so happy with the choice - I named my puppy and got photos and updates on her. Then the breeder changed her mind one Saturday morning, out of the blue. She wanted more money for the same puppy because she was keeping it slightly longer. I did not want to change the deal and so she cancelled. She told me clearly in a voicenote which I also still have: "I think the way forward is for us to call it quits" and she demanded my banking details, which I gave her. I even asked a mediator on the Monday morning to help me save this deal. I really wanted that puppy. According to the mediator the puppy was already sold. Adding insult to injury, I was only refunded R 8500. The breeder feels she is entitled to an admin fee for newsletters and bank costs. even though SHE changed the whole deal. She has still not refunded me the balance and has blocked me from contacting her.

<div>I booked a teacup Yorkie puppy from ****. I paid a deposit of R 4000 and then an additional R 5000 once we had agreed on a specific puppy. We agreed on whatsapp to a price (I still have all the messages and voice notes) and that I would finish paying for, and collect the puppy in October. She told me clearly that the puppy was mine. I received pictures and updates of my puppy and had already chosen a name for our new "baby". I would have gone to see the pup, but this was not permitted by the breeder. To me, buying this puppy was like adopting a new family member - as well as a lot of money, I put my heart and hopes in Mijoy. Then out of the blue one Saturday, just after I had made a payment, she messaged me saying she wanted a higher price. I wasn't prepared to just agree to paying extra money for a puppy I had already reserved. She cancelled the deal there and then. I was told she sold my puppy to someone else for the higher price. She agreed to refund me, once my latest payment cleared To add insult to injury I have not been refunded the full R 9000. She retained R 500 of my money for "admin costs" and to date, has still refused to pay me back the balance of my money. I did not expect this from someone who claims to be a reputable and ethical breeder. From my side, I had kept to every part of our agreement ... but all the many voice notes, photos and text messages from this breeder meant nothing in the end. I was not the one to cancel - I told her clearly that I did not want to lose this puppy. In addition to the heartbreak, why should I be expected to pay R500 for her decision to pull out?</div>

<div>This nearly happened to me as well with a so-called "breeder" from Bloemfontein. After some research I found that the address of this so-called "breeder" does not exist. I am so happy that I eventually came across a passionate breeder in Heidelberg, Gauteng via Facebook where I found my little bundle of joy. He is so happy, healthy and a big blessing in our family. Thank you MyJewel... I firmly believe that a good breeder of any specific breed greatly contributes to strengthening the breed and maintaining the pedigree, so yes, good breeders need to be supported.</div>

SCAM: We lost R5000 under the impression we would get a Yorkie puppy. Long story short - we should never have paid with out seeing the puppy first, unfortunately my mother is very impressionable and honest and believes the best in people. There are two different websites for the same company. Two different sets of contact details. There is a real Mijoy Yorkie puppy breeder based in Fourways, and her name is really Joyce. But there is a group of people who have copied her website, use her name and expect payment with out seeing the puppy first. The only way around this is: 1. Go and see the puppy first, and pay cash when you collect it. 2. For Joyce ( the real Joyce) to fight to get her "competitor" shut down as Mijoy will continue to get a bad name. 3. Consider getting a rescue. There are so many beautiful Yorkies that need homes, why support breeders?
