Spoiled Chicken at Mike’s kitchen Milnerton
I my family and i went to Mikes kitchen in milnerton for dinner. Firstly the food almost an hour to get to us. I order the chicken and chips to my disgust the first bite i took i felt something not right then i gave y daughter to taste i tasted again then realised the chicken was rotten. When i called the waiter before i said she asked me is the chicken off. How did she know. Even the look of the chicken said a lot . She called the manager who apologised and said they will make me another one. I refused and ordered a burger the burger also was not meat it was like a rubbery chew. I just couldn’t eat as i was feeling funny since last night i am vommitting and runny tummy. And yes the charged me for my reorder. I will never visit Mikes kitchen again. A very disgusted client just know they new the chicken was off.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after our experience at Mike’s Kitchen, I feel compelled to speak up — this was hands down one of the worst meals we’ve ever had. For starters, we ordered snails and African poppers. I took the first bite of my snails and instantly called my husband to taste them — his reaction said it all: “There’s no way you’re eating that.” The snails were slimy, and instead of melted cheese, there was a strange, lumpy white sauce that crumbled in the mouth. It was absolutely vile. As for the African poppers, they looked burnt to a crisp. The moment we bit into them, they crumbled like burnt toast — dry, overcooked, and completely unappetizing. I have no idea how something like that even made it out of the kitchen. Then came the mains. Both my husband and I ordered steak — I chose the jalapeño version and he had the bacon one. Honestly, just the appearance of the food was off-putting. We each took one bite, and that was enough. My husband immediately stood up and asked the manager to please take the food to the back and taste it himself. The steak was watery, rubbery, and tasted like it had been microwaved — no flavour, no care, just completely inedible. so bad that we asked the manager to please take it to the back and just taste it . people will get so sick of the food there its bad ! close this place down asap ! And as if that wasn’t enough, the kids’ play area was filthy. All the toys were just dumped in one corner, dirty and uninviting. It looked completely neglected and unhygienic — definitely not a place you'd feel comfortable letting your child play in. I am beyond disappointed.

I must commend Mikes Kitchen for their excellent food and service..your feel good experience starts at the door as you come in you are welcomed heartily with friendly staff..What i like is that they also make it affordable with their all time specials...In the time we are living we all need a good bargain and especially as eating out is a luxury..their breakfasts are served till 12 which is also nice as we sometimes run late.The food is always excellent ..and what I like is that all staff help each other..we dont have to wait for our waiter to come and clear ..anyone of the staff walking past will clear and assist in any way..they seem to be a family that gets along with each other..dont forget the deserts..cheesecake is a must .even management assists wherever they can..thank you
