I don’t usually write reviews, but after our experience at Mike’s Kitchen, I feel compelled to speak up — this was hands down one of the worst meals we’ve ever had. For starters, we ordered snails and African poppers. I took the first bite of my snails and instantly called my husband to taste them — his reaction said it all: “There’s no way you’re eating that.” The snails were slimy, and instead of melted cheese, there was a strange, lumpy white sauce that crumbled in the mouth. It was absolutely vile. As for the African poppers, they looked burnt to a crisp. The moment we bit into them, they crumbled like burnt toast — dry, overcooked, and completely unappetizing. I have no idea how something like that even made it out of the kitchen. Then came the mains. Both my husband and I ordered steak — I chose the jalapeño version and he had the bacon one. Honestly, just the appearance of the food was off-putting. We each took one bite, and that was enough. My husband immediately stood up and asked the manager to please take the food to the back and taste it himself. The steak was watery, rubbery, and tasted like it had been microwaved — no flavour, no care, just completely inedible. so bad that we asked the manager to please take it to the back and just taste it . people will get so sick of the food there its bad ! close this place down asap ! And as if that wasn’t enough, the kids’ play area was filthy. All the toys were just dumped in one corner, dirty and uninviting. It looked completely neglected and unhygienic — definitely not a place you'd feel comfortable letting your child play in. I am beyond disappointed.

Yet Easton Berry continues to call me every single day, starting as early as 7:00 AM, sometimes up to 7 calls a day. When I answer, I get the same woman shouting at me, telling me to make an arrangement — even though I have already paid. I’ve explained this repeatedly, I’ve asked them nicely, I’ve begged them to stop calling unless I miss a payment — and still, they harass me. The worst part? When I told the caller I would block the number, she laughed at me and said, “We will keep on phoning you.” This is bullying, harassment, and completely unprofessional. I want to know: Why is Easton Berry allowed to harass me like this after I pay? Why is my bill increasing if I’m up to date? Why won’t Truworths step in and stop this abuse? This situation is causing unnecessary stress, and I believe this behavior is borderline ******* under consumer protection laws. Truworths — fix this. I demand that Easton Berry stop calling me unless I’ve missed a payment. I also want confirmation that my balance is correctly recorded and no extra fees are being added because of this nonsense.
