The owners and management of Monaco Motors deal with customers in a professional and ethical way. When dealing with Monaco Motors you can rest assured that they will keep you informed and ensure you get a car that is in every way well vetted and also that the vehicle you buy from them is in a good condition. I wish I had bought all my cars from them. Thank You Monaco Motors.

Looked at a car and were told the window switches would be fixed. Purchased and collected the car on a Friday and were told they were fixed. Same day the passenger window wouldn't close. Next day we heard a hum which indicated possible wheel bearing or cv joint problems. Contract states that we have 6 months or 1000km to return if there are problems. Took the car back on Tuesday (4 days later) and owner then informed us that the car is cheap and that he didn't want to adhere to the contract conditions and would only look at the window problem on passenger door and not the potential problem on driver door. Owner then cancelled the deal because he had a problem with me pointing out his rudeness and arrogance and not my husband who he had the contract with. Iann, the salesperson was great and I feel sorry for him losing a deal because he has a boss that thinks that 100k is spare change. I do not recommend them purely because of the owner and the shocking aftersales service.

We bought a Ford Focus Powershift. Monico would not take any responsibility after been told by the ombudsman to collect and repair the transmission. Dealers like this should go bankrupt and hope for the worst for this dealership.

Watch out for these people. Tell you on the advert online that the car has a FSH and the KM was advertised as 145 000 and it was in actual fact 177 000. That for me traveling so little is a whole 2 years' worth of driving. So not a little error. I did WhatsApp Eugene the next day of having the car, asking about this km discrepancy. He read my msg and ignored me flat. They told me later via email when I took it further, that I should have picked that up on the day of the test drive. Me being a woman. I'm more worried about the sounds and how the car drives that checking for indiscrepancies in their facts posted online. They didn't have the service history for me, was expecting the service booklet in the car. There wasn't one. Because it doesn't exist. They sent me some photocopied in house service document. I don't believe this car was serviced. Also they said the km was an innocent finger error. Yeah right. When I went online to show the KM advertised. The car was already taken off. Eugene said he doesn't know where I got that km reading from they didn't put that online. Luckily I had screen shots on my phone showing the km was advertised as less. I sent it to them. Then he all of a sudden said it was a finger error. Looking at all the stories on here with bad reviews. I can only confirm my suspicions that these guys are full out liars and cheats. They also decided to not send me my updated license disc because I bought up my issues with them. So ontop of being liars, they are incredibly spiteful as well. Wish I had read the reviews before I went to them. Would NOT have used these people to purchase a car.

We recently sold our Jeep wrangler 2.8 Sahara for a Volkswagen Tiguan tdi at Monaco motors Gesina - 529 Jacobs St, Gezina, Pretoria, 0031 Our family is growing and we had so sell our beloved Jeep, not knowing what we are getting our self into with the Tiguan and being told that the vehicle is in perfect condition and serviced. We bought the vehicle in December 2019 and the big problem started on 20 January 2020. Well in fact the VW Tiguan was not serviced. On my way to work the Engen of the Tigaun started smoking, it almost catch fire and the garage in queens wood helped me to stabilize the car. I phoned a well know mechanic Odies auto works. knowing he will help immediately. He told me that i need to get the car out to him asap. I went to Odies auto works and he immediately started working on the car, he arranged for me to get to work due to the vehicle being my only transport to get to work and back. Odies auto works found that there where no brakes, clutch being badly damaged and there where problems with the battery of the vehicle. He also found burned pres-tick on the engen. (Just keep in mind we bought the vehicle in December 2019 and the problem of the car happend on the 20th Jan. 2020 its not even a full month since we had the car. How long does it take to drive until you have no brakes? ) He fully serviced the vehicle and repaired all the damages on the car. He got the car the morning at 8.30 +- by 16.45 he phoned that my car is ready and i can come and pick it up. ( Also keep in mind that this vehicle can only be fixed with diagnostics, so not anyone can fix the vehicle) I send Eugene at Monaco Motors an email, stating what happend and that they are responsible for the vehicle repaired damages and that i will pay for the service on the vehicle. I send them the invoice for payment as well. I received an email back. Eugene telling me that i had to take the vehicle to them, so they can investigate what the problem is. "firstly, they told us the vehicle is in good condition and that it is serviced. So ask yourself whey would the car give any problems? secondly, this vehicle is our only transport so how long is it going to take for them to investigate before the problem is solved, If i don't work i don't get paid. Third problem, We have a 5 month old baby in the vehicle with us putting not only me and my husbands life in danger but a 5 month old baby's life in danger." I followed up when they are going to pay for the damages on 27th January 2020. and this what his response back. Groete. Eugene." So my question is whey does he sell a car with no brakes, battery giving problems and clutch problems. THE CAR CAN ONLY BE FIXED WITH DIAGNOSTICS, like i said and stated in his email. (How can you sell a vehicle to a client without brakes?) and yet today is 17-03-2020 and still no response back form there side. All we asked is that they pay for the damages. Be aware of what you buy.

I bought a second hand Ford STI 3 from Graeme at Monaco Motors for R 280k cash with only +- 34 000km on. After I paid for the when I collected the vehicle the owner Eugene gave me the keys he indicated that the R 15Kmof discount he gave me was for damage to the steering wheel due to the sun. I informed him that if I knew it from the start I would not have bought the vehicle. I left and on than same day and next 7 days I noted the following things that is either damaged or not working: The left front tire touched the fender and made a noise, the following things either did not work at all or did not work properly, hooter, the start stop, automatic lights, drivers assist, speed control, the lights are set to low resulting that I can not see at night time, hill assist and the back registration plate is loose. The Friday after I bought the vehicle I went to the dealership and showed Eugene the left front tire and the other things that was wrong with the Ford. I also requested how the vehicle could have went through the tests with all of these defects, without receiving a reply. That day and several days via e-mails Eugene requested that I must bring the Ford in and collect it after 3 days. I made it clear on several occasions that the Ford is my only transport and I will bring it in for 3 days and wait for it that day and drive home, which was not accepted by Eugene. The one at the noise by the front left tire was extremely and I took the vehicle to Hi Q who removed the tire and showed me that it was cut in the inside and had to be replaced and that front right tire was worn and must be replaced as well. They replaced the two tires. tried to rectify the front left side that scratched the tire and did wheel alignment and balancing. I have taken proper photos of the left front side when the tire was removed which indicated clearly the scratch marks of the tire against the fender that cut the tire. I e-mailed all the photos and the invoices with a quote for the left front mag that was damaged to Eugene and Graeme requesting them to refund me R 4 400,50 cost to replace the tires. I also informed Eugene that I am going to take the STI to a Ford dealership to rectify all the off the other faults to the vehicle. That is the time the problems started and Eugene refused to refund me, even after many request via e-mail he just stopped replying on my e-mails and just read it without replying. I went to the dealership on several occasions to speak to Eugene but he was either not there or his employee lied to me that he was not there. Even when I phones he was either nor there or the secretary said that he does not take phone calls, I must e-mail and he would reply, like a suspicious counterfeit business man. the secretary also refused to supply me with his cell number when I requested it. I will never in my live again do any business with Monaco or all the employees or businesses linked to Monaco Motors.

Bought a car there in May 2019. At the end of May 2019 it started giving problems. Issue was raised with them but no response received. Fixed the car ourselves on own cost at Ford. On 25 July 2019 started giving issues again and owner refuses to help and ignores emails.
