Went to the branch at the bottom of Conrad Drive in Johannesburg. What an unmitigated mess!! We ordered one small Cappuccino and one tall latte - received two small Cappuccinos but was charged for what was ordered - tried to bring it to the cashiers attention but nothing was going in. Another waitress had to come back to the table to check on what we had ordered because the initial server couldn't remember. When the drinks came we had to ask for sugar and a s**** - again a blank look - "you ant sugar?" This came on a serviette. We also ordered a muesli and Yoghurt and a single toast with cream cheese, avocado and a boiled egg. This took from order to delivery 40 minutes. When this arrived and I asked for salt - same thing "you want salt?" There were 6 staff members on duty, all behind the counter talking at the top of their voices making one hell of a racket but service - there was none. When - after I went to enquire where our food was - it eventually arrived the toast had actually gone cold and sticky. "Sorry for the delay - but there was one order before you". When we walked in there were two people in the restaurant both had been attended to. NEVER will I go to a Motherland again - clearly management doesn't give a damn about their business and I see this as a reflection on all branches. Absolutely unacceptable. When I did say something I got blank stares!
