Would give a 0 if that was possible. I had a membership at the Worcester branch that had just come out of the 2 year membership period and I was moving at the end of April. I asked the front desk staff several times when I had to give my notice as I was leaving end of April so want to make sure I cancel on time so I don't have to pay extra fees as I had seen they are big ****s and try to make people pay for things they didn't receive in my 2 years gyming there.
So at the end of March when I paid my account I also gave my 30 days notice. I received an email to say my membership cancelation request had been approved and my last payment was for the month of April (which I paid at the end of March as gym memberships get paid upfront and not in arrears).
And ofcourse they are now still trying to charge me monthly fees saying I needed to pay them for an additional month at the end of April?? How does that work? If I pay at the end of April I can gym until the end of May, so then I've given 60 days notice and an extra payment?
Every time I email them asking about this, and asking for clarification on whether the monthly fees are paid upfront or in arrears they ignore me and just keep adding another monthly fee to the bill.
What a pathetic example of a gym
