Our experience at Motus Ford George was so traumatic that it's taken me more than a year to write this review. I have heard of other Ford owners who have had exactly the same experience as us. They do not deserve one star! After taking in a car that had overheated as Ford seems prone to do, we were told that the engine would have to be stripped since the block was cracked. We showed other mechanics photos of the block, which they insisted was NOT cracked. Now for the best part: after stripping the engine, they refused to repair it, stating that it was against their 'policy', and that we had to pay R150K for a new engine! This 'policy' had of course not been specified prior to dismantling the engine. We had the vehicle towed to another workshop, where it took months to rebuild the engine, piece by piece. The mechanic found a broken waterpipe that had caused the damage. This mechanic gave us a report on the actual problem, with photographic evidence. Motus Ford just shrugged their shoulders despite several visits, phone calls and emails. Complaining to the Automotive Ombudsman was futile, since he immediately rejected our complaint, saying it did not fall within his jurisdiction (?)! Do yourself a favour: do not go near this dealership!

Yesterday the 04.10.2022 I went to Ford in George I was driving a Ford Figo I needed light bulbs to be fitted in. I was in a hurry as I needed to fly to Joburg. Reece one of the technicians gave me an excellent service I was so impressed with his work. He assisted me while there was load shading and the car was fine after that. This goes to Reece and the Lady I forgot her name but if it was not for the lady I would not had such a good service big ups to the lady who helped me and Reece

Most dusgusting service ever. Not helpful at all. The mechanic who had to assist me was to busy to even listen to me, while I am talking to him he carries on on his tablet. My car has a big problem and almost had me in a accident due to a faulty clutch, wasn't intrested at all and told me to come back in a weeks time.

MOTUS FORD GEORGE!! BLY ASSEBLIEF VÊR WEG!! Laas week my jaarlikse diens by hulle gereël vir my Ford fiesta. So vat ek my kar in vanoggend skuins na 9. Alles goed, vat my sleutel by my en sê hulle kontak my sodra hy klaar is. My girlfriend neem my toe na Ford so 20 minute oor 4 die middag. WANT MY KAR STAAN STEEDS BUITE WAAR EK HOM GELOS HET. Ek vra toe my kar sleutels terug en sê ek sal my kar by n ander plek diens. Not my problem!! Ek kry toe my sleutels, nadat ek n paar keer moes vra daarvoor. Motus ford George sal my nooit weer sien nie, mens verwag baie beter van so groot maatskappy.

Made the mistake of buying a Ford Everest, made a bigger mistake by buying a Ford Everest from Motus in George. After the first brand new Ford Everest left us stranded on a border by simply just breaking down the second replacement vehicle almost caused my death as it had a "critical failure " on the N2 highway and almost caused a devastating accident. The critical failure was caused by the same "fuel relay problem that the Fords were recalled for, for a systems update, which we had done. Yet Motus in George stated it was merely a coincidence and contributed the vehicle systems simply shutting down in the middle of the highway to "driver fault". Big dangerous coincidence. Motus in George later found a serious fault with the vehicle and blamed us for it! A broken electronic brake switch. I am no mechanic but it is a little switch at the back in the front lower dash of the vehicle. Ford Motus Claimed that after we got the vehicle back from them we did not clip in the mat properly and to quote the maintenance manager " the floormat on the drivers side was not clipped into place and as such was pushed back passed the break and accelerator petal. This caused the mat to push up against the electronic brake switch which caused it to break" If you look at the picture attached it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that that is impossible, the mat cant push under passed the petals to break the switch and over the petals, well, would have made the car pretty hard to dive with a mat in the way. Yet Motus George refused to take responsibility for the fact that they sold us yet another faulty vehicle. We took the case up with the Ombudsman but they simply focused on the fact that we wanted to return the vehicle past the consumer 6 month buying period where you have the right to return the vehicle if it is faulty. As 3 of those months was during hard lockdown. and we could not drive the vehicle as we would probably figured out how faulty the vehicle was earlier. The trade in value Motus George offered us was R460 000 on a R717800 vehicle that was 7 months old with very few kilometers. Now we are stuck with a vehicle, a dangerous faulty brand new vehicle for the next few years as we regrettably went for the 4 year drive trade in buy option with Motus George. I saw a mother pick up two beautiful twin daughters in a Ford Everest today and I thought to myself how they are risking their lives by driving that car and how the closest dealership to Knysna, Motus George will not be truthful or helpful or even reliable if your live depended on a service and pointing out serious faults that may cause an accident that can take the live of you and your beautiful children. Beware! Some thoughts to take with you: The Ford Everest has really bad resale value as Motus Ford proved and Motus George will take extraordinary measures and even lie to not take responsibility for their faulty vehicles!
