Alexander Forbes - Unacceptable 8-Year Delay in Paying Out Deceased Member Benefits I'm writing to express extreme dissatisfaction with Alexander Forbes' handling of my late wife's pension fund (Margaret Clare Chaudhry, ID: 5201210708086, Member Number: M01078441). Despite numerous attempts to contact them since her passing in Feb 2018, they've failed to assist or pay out benefits. Key issues: - 8-year delay with no communication or assistance - Ignored multiple attempts to contact, including speaking to Mrs. Rita Coo in 2018 - No clear guidance on required documentation or claim process - Now stating "procedural issues" after prolonged silence This is unacceptable and borders on ****-like behavior. Alexander Forbes is exploiting the vulnerability of bereaved families and should be held accountable. I demand: 1. Immediate payout of benefits 2. Explanation for the delay and lack of communication 3. About six months ago I went to NHLS to do a paternity test which I was advised that it would take six weeks. After payment was made and the test was done the nurse was assisting me told me that I should expect the results back in six months that was not shared with me and the nurse said that they were they had a backlog. I was furious but I know I knew I did not have an option so I waited it's been six months now and when I call to find out when I should be expecting the results I am told that the results takes 3 to 9 months and I must just wait but I cannot wait and not know when I will get the results not knowing the specific dates so when I'm trying to call I get pushed that I get given a number that there is never answered so now bare in mind that this is a baby on the line which is way expecting results so that's his life can continue

This company does not send out statements/invoices for accounts. One then gets handed over to collection services for short payments from the medical aid. After payment I got two further calls for outstanding amounts. The payment was made based on the statement and autopayment link provided by them. When trying to discuss the issue I was twice placed on hold for until the calls eventually dropped. The staff is totally unhelpful. This morning we were told that the statement provided includes a credit from 2023 which was offset against the balance. This should not have been done because it is owed to the medical aid and not me. So, Lancet is now sitting with a credit on my account which they have not refunded to the medical aid in two years. What a bunch of *******!

We have been waiting for Dna results since last year august they told me to wait for 5 months after 5 months they said 6 months and i cant even get hold of them i will never understand why would homeaffairs send us to this company if they know that they are *********** now my child has been denied a right of having a birth certificate now i cant even take to a private hospital they want birth certificate and also my medical aid they have been asking me to send them the birth certificate

In September, we went for a DNA test. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication from Colleen Gallagher who works at the NHLS, after I was told three people must take the DNA test. On the day of the test, Lynelle da Silva informed me two people should take the test. Then, I went to Home Affairs to get a new document form. I paid R2250 for three people, therefore, my refund is R750. Since September we have been fighting to get my refund. On December 17, we dealt with Collen and Manager Nkosinathi Nkumane and nothing was resolved. Yesterday, we went to home affairs, and to my surprise, there is no evidence that any testing was done and no results have been received. And I was told by Lynelle da Silva and Colleen it would take two to three months. Now, I am concerned about where my R2250 went, because; I never received a receipt. Colleen said that the system was hacked, and the issue started in May. Since I could not pay directly at NHLS, she gave me the banking details via WhatsApp. On the 18th of December, I received the proof of payment via email from Sakhele Fikayo after 2 hours of fighting for my refund of R750, and proof that Home Affairs has been notified that the test has been done which we still do not have. Home Affairs is also questioning. Even with the proof of payment, it was a screenshot and not in pdf format. Till this day, we are waiting for our results. I just want my R1500 NOW.

Bad service, bad customer satisfaction . We took dna tests in October 2024 and the results are still not received. It’s hard to get hold of you and your staff are providing bad service to your clients . I need to submit the information to magistrate court. You guys are wasting my time or just refund me

Totally impossible to get hold of them. They do not reply to emails sent (28 sent) and when phoning the 2 x telephone numbers I had to hold on for 30 minutes where after I had to cancel the calls.
