Without doubt the most disgraceful antique & collectables auctioneer in SA. First shipment ordered took 3 months to deliver? Admit I didn't proceed with other transactions because of this but thought I would give them a try again recently. What a mistake: 1. Charged for 2 cartons and bubble wrap (R135!!) but only 1 used. 2. Items missing from invoice and still not delivered. 3. Items broken (3 glass hock glasses wrapped together!!) and they don't care. 4. Condition of other items a disgrace, and not adequately described on the auction. Watch out for this company.

Nicolglen Auctioneers - Online auctions should be fun, but Andrew Lewis of Nicolglen Auctioneers is NOT the businessman you want to purchase second-hand trinkets and almost-antiques from. 3 months and still waiting for a credit that he owes remains unrepaid, promises by e-mail and more promises, " feel he knows the Guptas!" Such a pity, but then I thought he really is possibly too old for on-line auctioning and should not be in this business at all. Just totally disheartening when it could be so fun and easy to acquire old curios, where are the gentlemen of yesteryear? My advice: use other, more honest, vetted auction sites. Address. 102 Z K Mathews Rd, Glenwood, Berea, 4001

I had the winning bid on various items on an auction (invoice dated 28-Feb-17) which included a Gregorian Writing Bureau. The terms of the auctions are that the purchaser has to pay within 4 days which I failed to do. I did however make paying arrangements with the auctioneer, Andrew Lewis. I paid the invoice in full by 28-Mar-17. Since then I have been trying to get their help with regards to the postage/courier of the items to Cape Town, with no success. I've seen and enquired about the Gregorian Writing Bureau being auctioned again 11 May 2017 - no response received. I sent an email yesterday, 16 May 2017, and followed it up with a telephone call this morning, 17 May 2017. Andrew Lewis was very rude and accused me of being a bad person, bad paying customer, etc and also said he won't do business with me and will also tell other auctioneers not to do business with me. All I want is for Nicholglen Auctioneers to provide detail of number and size of ALL items and boxes that I have paid for so that I can arrange for a courier to collect ALL my goods.
