MTN Fraud
I logged a suspected fraud case with MTN on 1 June 2022 when R7896.30 was taken from my account on a debit order, when my normal monthly deductions are around R300. 3 1/2 months, 11 reference numbers from MTN, and an acknowledgement from them that fraud has taken place, I am still waiting to get my money back. I thought I was getting somewhere recently when I was told that my account had been credited and, using yet another reference number, a request was being made to pass a refund into my bank account. This has not happened and I was told today that my case is now being escalated back to the fraud department! Why, I don't know. An absolute disgrace!!!

Picture problems with Gumtree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Without doubt the worst social media site to advertise your items for sale. The placing of pics is beyond belief! I have tried to contact Gumtree with my problem with no success. Most of my pics are shown at the wrong angle, but they haven't a clue how to solve the problem. They might remove me as a result of my complaint but I actually don't care.

Car Boutique Auto
Posted an ad earlier today complaining about Yellow Star Trading 169 CC and realised that they trade, and are probably known as, Car Boutique Audio on Beyers Naude in Cresta. My comments remain the same in that they refused to fix my cars security system without a receipt, even though my registration number should be on their system. They installed the system approx 6 months ago and has since created major failure problems resulting in towing the car and leaving doors open to stop the noise of the failure affecting neighbours. Disgusted with their after sales service which they blame on cell phone towers!! I will be posting similar reviews on the local Facebook groups.

Car Boutique Audio
This company fitted an alarm system to my car approx 6 months ago and I have been having major issues in the last few weeks. This includes not being able to deactivate the alarm and having to be towed home, and the alarm going off at night even when not activated. They started off by blaming the cell phone towers for the problem and then said they couldn't do anything without a receipt, which I couldn't find. When I mentioned that they must have my registration number on their system with the work done I got a negative response. Our conversation ended with them saying that I HAVE AN ATTITUDE PROBLEM!!! Absolute disgraceful service.

Gumtree Ads Removed.
Gumtree SA have just removed all my ads from their platform with no communication with me. I have been advertising on Gumtree for many years with no problem but suddenly they have decided to remove my ads stating that they think I am a business as opposed to an individual seller. They mentioned that I can contact their "Help Desk" if I want to query their decision, which I did, but all I get is that they don't have an answer to my question! What absolute rubbish!!

FNB Merchant Services
Had a problem with my FNB credit card machine recently which took a week for someone to respond. When they did respond I had made 3 transactions worth R5000 that day. They decided to replace my machine but couldn't process these payments as they said that both my, and their spare batteries, were flat. Note - this was part of my initially complaint. I had to phone FNB the next day to report the problem with not processing the payments and have since been told it will take 7 to 14 days to resolve. BUT THEY HAVE MY MONEY!!!!!!

Nicholglen Auctioneers a disgrace.
Without doubt the most disgraceful antique & collectables auctioneer in SA. First shipment ordered took 3 months to deliver? Admit I didn't proceed with other transactions because of this but thought I would give them a try again recently. What a mistake: 1. Charged for 2 cartons and bubble wrap (R135!!) but only 1 used. 2. Items missing from invoice and still not delivered. 3. Items broken (3 glass hock glasses wrapped together!!) and they don't care. 4. Condition of other items a disgrace, and not adequately described on the auction. Watch out for this company.
