I had a very unpleasant experience with GIB Insurance Brokers, starting from when I submitted a claim in mid-December 2024. Despite the long wait, I am still awaiting feedback on my payout.
The first issue arose with my tax directive. It was not submitted until I followed up, and even then, it was submitted incorrectly. This caused further delays, and I found myself constantly having to chase down updates. To date, I’ve sent numerous emails requesting feedback, but all I’ve received is vague information or promises to get back to me—nothing in writing.
The most frustrating part of this whole experience has been the lack of communication. I only get responses when I call in, and at each point, I’m told that the issue is still being worked on and that I should wait. The repeated "kicking the can down the road" approach is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful of my time.
In short, my experience with GIB Insurance Brokers has been far from satisfactory, and I cannot recommend their services to anyone. Their poor communication, failure to handle claims properly, and lack of accountability leave much to be desired.
